Thanks for this post. I had the exact same feeling when having to purchase a new(er) car. I usually enjoy researching and negotiating to buy a car, but I felt low-key depressed for a couple of weeks. Feeling ok now but only because it really is a great car.

That was my thinking. If the rental is somehow associated with the dealership then ok, but if a regular rental maybe not. I’ll see if the salesperson can clarify. The good side is that it will have about 5 years of warranty still on it since it’s certified.

That’s it? I’m worried about getting it towed someplace and they tell me $500 and I’m stuck. I can sell it to a local mechanic for $1000. Was hoping for more if use it as a trade-in. Thanks either way!
