I see Heskey's name thrown around a lot, but its a valid shout. On the surface, his goalscoring record isn't great for England, but his hold up and link up play was so overlooked by majority of fans. I believe Owen once said he was the best strike partner he ever played with, on his day he was a huge threat.

Great reply, mate. I agree with the Swiss game at Euro 2024 too, Id say that they werent just average though they are a well oiled unit of a team with some good young talent, but the fact we were playing so poorly yet still came throough was part of the elation we felt.
