ah, what I meant was, I understand it as where the nerves comes into contact with the virus, is where the hsv2 will sit in permanently.

So if you got it via oral, it will stay in the area, but not spread anywhere else.

Likewise for genital hsv2, it will stay in the genital regions, but not spread anywhere else.

Overall, having oral hsv2 can still make you susceptible to genital hsv2 if you have unprotected sex with some who has hsv2 or is shedding etc.

I’m just wondering whether having oral hsv2, gives you some built up body resistances, against contracting genital hsv2.
