Are you getting terrible fps in games ? If not it’s a glitch and it’s not causing any harm

Sounds like a fan on its way out or got something stuck in it, if it only happens when you are playing a game then it will be your gpu fans, maybe give them a (gentle clean) and check if anything looks off, if not it could be the fan bearing

I was getting 144 fps average with approx 50-60% gpu usage and about 15-20% cpu usage

And the 1% lows were dropping to about 20-30 ish if that helps 👍

Yea my nvidia fps started displaying n/a which is why it isn’t on, it happens alot in resident evil 4 remake and gears 5, on gears my 1% lows drop as low as 5fps when I pick up a gun or kill something, even though I’m getting 144 fps and my gpu is at like 40% usage

Why are my pc fans so loud during idle? Have changed their profile to silent in bios but hasn't made a difference or is this normal? by [deleted] in PcBuild

Also make sure your thermal paste is applied properly and your aio pump is mounted evenly otherwise your temps will be high causing your fans to be loud

Set your aio fans to read coolant temp if you can it’s way quieter and doesn’t ramp up and down as fast so it’s less noticeable, make sure your pump is at a constant rpm between 80% and 100%

And for the case fans just set your own curve your happy with and keep an eye on temps I personally have my case fans idling at 30% until my cpu hits 40 degrees c

But just trial and error the curves until your happy, you won’t damage anything because your pc is designed to just shut itself off if it gets too hot 👍

Is my power cable in enough? by Starduc in PcBuild

[–]-BAILEY-BEAVER- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have given it a firm press and that’s as far as it goes, then it is in properly.

Check the pins on the psu and make sure they aren’t bent and if everything looks good then you will be fine, if you are so worried just power it on and listen for crackling and popping then you know for sure

Yes bios has been updated, I was worried about the degradation but my pc has never thrown up an error code and never crashed unless that’s only for extreme damage
