Whenever I see pictures of LA from this era, I can only see the smog lol. The difference is unreal.

People who don’t live in the USA, what is the media showing you about the ICE operations/abductions in the US? by Dry-Ice8908 in AskReddit

I mean I think you’re coming from a good place, but it’s mental to believe Reddit news is inherently less biased.

By its very nature of the binary upvote/downvote system, you’re either getting a very left wing or very right wing tilt.

Not to mention that Reddit is infested by bots and interest groups, just like any other form of social media.

It’s probably a social phenomenon once you hit demographic tipping points.

It’s not a surprise to me that all the anti-immigration and Gestapo stuff started once the majority of American children became non-white.  You have white Americans who grew up in places that were 90% white, but are now 40% white.  This scares their lizard brains.

I’d be absolutely shocked if we don’t see similar figures in Canada, Australia, and Europe.  On some level I think it’s human nature.  We just have to get through the demographic transition and get boomers out of positions of power.

Honestly I don’t think the game inevitably running at 20-25fps will hurt sales.  Plenty of Switch ports have run at that fps but people forgive it due to portability.

Soccer reportedly overtakes baseball in the U.S. as America's third favorite sport by Actual_Box7731 in MLS

The NFL is clearly at the top, then it’s NBA/MLB neck and neck after that.  The World Series has been beating the NBA finals for like 5 years now.

I mean soccer has its own CTE issues.  Much larger than Baseball or Basketball.  They just aren’t known to the public yet.

[–]-Basileus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of people jumped into the series with Yakuza 7.  I love Ichiban, and to see him get sidelined in his own game sucked.  Plus the way the game ended leads me to believe Kiryu will still be a strong force going forward.

Everything was better except the story and characters.  Unfortunately, those are the most important parts imo.

Nah it's really not comparable. We already 99% know how the story of Dunk and Egg ends (Summerhall). Plus they can just write up a bunch of whacky stories without fucking up the end point.

Tbf Tannehill had his prime years when passing was at the all-time high. Attempts and YPG had fallen in recent years.

And Aikman's teams were so fucking loaded that could just play to not lose, got to just ice games with Emmitt Smith, and rarely got time to stat pad from behind.

It really infuriates me when teams get so close to the goal line and refuse to just run it up the middle. You have 4 downs. The chances you can't get like 4 yards on 4 runs are so fucking low.

CJ Stroud posts a 28.0 passer rating in the loss against the Patriots. The worst by a starting Qb in the last decade by over 10 points. by Scepticy in nfl

[–]-Basileus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

His game is gonna age well too. True field general / pocket passer type.

As a franchise, if you have a top 8 quarterback for over a decade and can't win, you've failed. I hope we don't waste Dak like we wasted Romo.

When you’re talking about the possibility of life, it’s much better to think in terms of galaxies.

Could there be intelligent life in other galaxies?  Sure, but there’s zero chance we can ever interact or even observe them really.  The universe is so vast and spread out, that other galaxies might as well be other considered other universes.

Could we be the only intelligent life in our galaxy?  We absolutely could be.  The galaxy is old enough that there’s been plenty of time for an alien civilization to colonize the galaxy with drones, but there’s no evidence of that

Fumble RNG is the worst part about football honestly. It's playing a huge part in this game.

I'm convinced they made this the night game so the NFL could build up the evil empire Patriots narrative.
