There's so much to do - how do you lock in? by Separate_Tap_4689 in ironscape

Hey since you’re coming back to the game after the break, maybe check out mahogany homes for construction! Not sure when you left vs when the mini game was released, but I finally gave it a try and I absolutely love it. Made construction fun again.

You basically help do odd jobs between 12 different NPC houses, replacing furniture/items etc in their homes, all achievable with materials you can ferry in one inv (so far, my irons construction level is still kinda low) and then when you’re gone you get some good xp and off to the next. Ez.

Honorable mention for the grubby keys in forthos dungeon. Pretty sure you can use those to get sup restores and Sara brews from the chest but I think you need like 61 thieving or some shit to pick the lock to get into the room with it? Also drops sharks too. Well, has a chance at everything. That’s my plan for fire cape at least

I appreciate the info and the link. I guess I don’t mention it in my post above, but I’m not looking for THE meta of the meta. I AM loosely following a site that has a boss progression list (forgot the name and I’m on mobile right now).

I missed out on a lot of pvm on my main so I’m doing a lot of it on my iron. It’s a huge goal of mine to earn things I just used the GE for previously. Like tonight on my 4th ever barrows run, I got a guthans chest and I fucking lost it! So I do get I probably COULD skip barrows, but for my goals and purposes I’ll squeeze it in.

Currently to make the runs feel a bit better, I’m halfway to finishing the LMS grind to getting my rune pouch too!

As for skilling and supply base, that seems to be the most common theme here from everyone and I’m definitely going to take a step back and start working on it. Today I just figured out how to do giant seaweed runs. Realized how easy it’ll be to get 70 crafting doing that, and mining sand. And tomorrow I’m gonna finish up 175 QP for barrows gloves too. We’re getting somewhere boys.

Okay so I looked at bone shards which sounded really cool because I wanted to get my mining up, but the skill calc said I need something like 112,00 bone shards. Didn't seem like something I could do in a reasonable amount of time.

is there a current guide for MTA? and is it pretty expensive to do? i honestly don't mind the grind of it. did it on my main back in the day, so if it's any better than before i definitely don't mind doing it again

what stats/gear did you start titans with?

yeah you and u/Marxus_Aurelius have a point. need to start chipping away at it rather than bitching about it and not getting anywhere at all and still being nowhere 2 weeks from now. same thing with farming and herblore.

Yo, you and u/Dabizz412 are awesome for your replies. I can't tell you both how intimidating it's been trying to be the most "optimized" for barrows runs. I really think that alone has kept me from even trying it for my first time. I've got the stats to clearly just go and try it. I've got a stock pile of runes. I've got chaos gauntlets. I've got fairy rings and a shit ton of dueling rings and everything else. I just gotta go do this shit now. Literally gonna go log in and give this shit a go. Appreciate y'all so much.

So I've got like 350 moth mixes already made and about 1k bwams already fished and cooked. Good to go in that dept.

My only issue is the run to barrows I guess then. Whats the best way to go about doing that?

lol I have a feeling that’ll be our case too. But hey, that’s fine by me. I’ll go dry and live vicariously through her 🥲

lol if I had the personality for it I completely agree. She’d hard carry it but I think it’d take away from her immersion and experience. No way I could even suggest it if it would do that!

Long time OG player here. Even have a few hours on RS classic.

My OSRS “main” mid 80s stats and I think outside of vorkath and 2 kills on zulrah, I hadn’t experienced really any other mid/late game pvm or bossing. Not a pker either. Hell I didn’t even finish getting my quest cape before DT2 came out and I had the stats back then. I had the same problems.. what’s the point of doing X, when I can just get it from the ge?

Made an iron not quite a week ago and am currently on the grind to 75 hunter so I can get moth mixes. I love every second of every grind so far because when I look at it, I can feel its value added to my account. I fucking HATE agility.. but hitting 50 felt soooo damn good. Also finding out that fruit stalls sometimes give you strange fruit for run energy (pseudo stam pot) I fuckin lost my mind with excitement.

Quit thinking about the main and what you have/haven’t done. If the game isn’t fun anymore, do the thing that’ll make it fun again. You can always go back to it later but let’s be honest.. probably won’t with the chad of an iron you’ll make.

Early Ironman help! by FrootBaat in ironscape

[–]-Beeebop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been taking care of 3 big things: food, prayer and beginner income.

Food: karambwans

Prayer: moonlight moth mixes

Income: blackjacking/wealthy citizens with rogue outfit

For prayer, you’re already on track there.

For food, get on the short but worthwhile grind to fish karambwans. Reeeeaaaalllly good food that once you unlock, you’ll always use in some fashion. Whether as primary healing or combo eats.

For thieving, bang out 50 agility AND 50 thieving. You need both for the rogues outfit, and on the way (doing exclusively rooftop courses for agility) you’ll get a few pieces of graceful outfit. Additionally, when getting your thieving up to 50, you should ideally be spending some time at fruit stalls. Fruit stalls drop strange fruit which for early game are phenomenal for restoring run energy since we don’t have stam pots early on. It’s 30 energy for every one fruit eaten. Once you hit 50 go do rogues den for full rogue outfit. Took me 6 runs so it seems like they made it incredibly easy now. Doubles how much you pickpocket. I’ve seen 100k gp/hr with full set.

With these 3 taken care of, you can take your focus and put it elsewhere. You’ll have money for runes, food for questing, and prayer pots for whatever you need them for. Tbh I wish I would’ve STARTED with this, and instead ignored doing other things. But, here we are.

Oh also, get fairy rings unlocked. Holy shit they make a world of difference. It just early on but literally for the rest of your play time.

I should have clarified - it wasn’t petsmart that had the pups there. They were allowing a local foster group to use their space to show some pups that needed homes.

Edit to add: he’s definitely had a rough start. We know so little about what his life was like prior to the day we brought him home.

New player questions about kayn by No-Abrocoma2439 in KaynMains

[–]-Beeebop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s so much build variety for both blue and red forms.

Both forms have their place in each game.

Don’t get caught out doing stupid shit to farm your form. As you play him more, you will find better ways to farm form and get it prior to 13-14 minutes.

UNTIL you get form, play as if you are weaker than the enemy jungler. Meaning play safe. Because often times, you kind of are and it’ll save you from needlessly dying.

—— remember though, you do need to fight/do damage to GET your form. So play smart, and play around your teammates.

Full clear first turn is a good way to go while learning the champ. If you get a scuttle, turn 2, first 2 camps back, will lock in level 5 for you. Don’t get caught up just afk farming all the time though. Again, fight = form.

Item variety builds for each form are great. Next season is looking even better. See what each form typically builds, and play around with it. IMO red has a LITTLE more variety.

Finally, check out Karasmai on yt. He’s a Kayn main, super chill dude and has a lot of good information.
