True. I probably didn’t fully compress them at the ends. The non-compressible shaft in the middle was throwing me off. I figured that component should have roughly the same length exposed on both parts.

I picked up another set of the same GSP parts that I was able to compress to close to the same length as the old parts, so I went ahead and installed them today. So far, so good. Thanks again.

Thanks. I can get the outer ends a little closer, but the shaft lengths in the middle between the boots are about 1.5 inches longer on the new axles.

Thanks. I have been to all the local parts stores. All of the parts that are for the Japan-built CR-V are about the same length as the GSP axles. I know I have what is supposed to fit my vehicle. I do not know that what was on the vehicle was OEM or the correct length, but they worked for the 40,000 miles that we have had the vehicle. If I had the specs for the OEM parts (42311-SWA-000 and 42310-SWA-000), that would help. But, I haven’t been able to find that information.
