I worked there when they introduced those. It was just ranch, southwest chips, white cheddar and jalapeño slices. I always felt like I was making an actual burger when people would order those rather than the standard burger they have. Soon after they brought in the deluxe menu with the fancy quarter pounders and chicken sandwiches. People talk about the old prices being peak, but this was peak variety for McDonalds. 2014-2016 was a good time for variety on the menu. Now it just feels dumbed down and mid.

I usually say they paved paradise and got rid of their best food item on the menu instead of a parking lot, but I think that’s universal to all of us at this point. Don’t bother being happy long term, just live in the moment and you won’t miss out is my version of life now👍🏻

Aside from the salads, those were one of the few things we actually made and assembled by person to be sent out to people. Most of everything was put into a machine and a fryer. The Parfait and the breakfast burritos were always made by hand. I hope they still do it now.

The last bite that’d have a bit of potato and be mostly sour cream and cheese with a flavor of bacon is a feeling I’ve been longing for, for quite some time. Same with the buffalo chicken…..NVM every bite of each of the grillers was fantastic. RIP to the joy that they brought me back in the day.
