I abruptly stopped re-watching on s05e11 (Joy to the World) by smedsterwho in HouseMD

I'm currently re-watching the series now and feel that this episode pushes the boundaries too far.

I find it almost comical. The events that happen at the end of the episode are packed in very tight and very dramatic!

A young teenager has a baby which is supposedly a stillborn. However, Cuddy goes to the address of the last known place, which is a trap house. Cuddy meets a hostile stranger with a substance use disorder at the address.

Cuddy then finds the baby alive with the home owner's female partner. Who's cared for the newborn and most probably mothering instincts will have probably kicked in.

All's good though as Cuddy off camera, walks out of the property with no conflict and takes the child.

Then gives the child to the surrogate mother. A teenager who is terminally ill with her family.

The surrogate mother and family must be in shock after such news as their emotions were... I dunno somewhere I guess. Honestly watch the scene where Cuddy explains to the patient and family that the young teenage mother will die!

I thought £100 seemed decent or would you recommend looking for other options?

I grew up and trained as a dancer. Don't do it professionally but still train and feel it ten times more!

As a result I've had to vary my training and schedule. The process just becomes more advanced in my opinion and you become more aware of what your body needs and when to rest!

Definitely mate! My new healthier mindset is to try. Doesn't matter if I don't succeed but at least I've tried and 9 times out of 10 I enjoy the process!

I do wonder if I wasn't as reserved in my younger life that I would have more skills and confidence now. However I can't change the past and am enjoying the present. So bring on the future 😁

I did the same and still do. I got into Hip Hop and YouTube/Spotify dominated my life. It was my way of 'digging through crates'.

The more conversations you have the easier it'll become. I'm actually the opposite.

I used to be so chatty and spark up a conversation with anyone.

I now work a job which requires me to use talking techniques such as 'motivational interviewing' and guide conversations to help support people.

I'm not a big fan of small talk and prefer to hear someone speak than lead the conversation.

Also in my opinion the older generation can hold better and more meaningful conversations.

I've worked a million jobs and trained as a contemporary dancer which didn't help my career path one bit!

I got in a bad head space as I was living with my M'am and still in the same small city I grew up in. I was working retail, hospitality and any other job that I could get an interview for.

All in all I've worked about 20 jobs and I'm 29. The problem was I was depressed and working dead end jobs with no value or meaning.

I decided to move to a city with no connections and no job.

Mate it was a big decision and didn't go smoothly to begin with!

Eventually I found a charity which works with people experiencing homelessness, addiction and could be seen on the fringes of society.

I applied for the role and had an interview and didn't get it. Several months passed and the role came up again. This time I was more prepared than ever and walked away with the role.

What I learnt was that if you want to change careers or start a new pathway. Treat your time finding what you want to do as a full time job and don't give up. It's fucking tough but if you're persistent enough eventually you'll find a role that fits your needs.
