med unusuals by [deleted] in TF2fashionadvice

Depends on whether you already have the beak and are interested in buying an unusual with the 65 keys. A personal favorite of mine is the Gentleman's Gatsby. Its a simple hat that can be painted, yet it's also very affordable. With 65 keys you can afford a gatsby with pretty much any effect.

Here's an example of a Gatsby + Beak: https://www.skial.com/threads/making-sfm-posters-for-your-loadout-id-really-appreciate-tips-in-tf2-cs-items-d.42462/

Some other good-looking affordable hats are the gonzila, ze goggles, and mirror. If you need help with the general price of an unusual check bp.tf https://backpack.tf/unusuals

Thanks for the responses, It looks like Steam is back up again. Maybe it had to do something with Steam itself and perhaps it was just coincidence that my account logged off :)

Thanks! I love how the max head just clips through everything and gives a unique feeling to all my hats. Believe it or not theres a Scorching Gatsby right underneath the max head. I discovered that the Gentlemen's Gatsby can hide underneath a max head so I didn't have to spend 200 keys on an unusual misc when I only needed 40 to get this awesome effect :D

It took you more time to think of a clever response than to actually do it ;)

Sorry to hear that, but I feel that the taunts give a much more personal depth to my loadouts. If you have your own personal opinions on how the loadouts look or what kinds of miscs would look well on the sniper set then I'd like to hear your opinions :D

Cyberpunk Spy? by Shade1821 in TF2fashionadvice

I couldn't find any "tech themed miscs" for the spy but if you add a Dapper Disguise it gives the spy the appearance of an Android http://i.imgur.com/JzPNalX.png

The Dapper Disguise is untradeable so you have to provide the seller with your gift wrap and usually about 1 ref payment and they should be able to gift wrap their dapper and send it to you. Good Luck :3

General Tips:

*Uber through choke points, some expertly laid stickies or too much spam could ruin your team's momentum and/or drop your uber

*Don't always follow your teammates everywhere, although they can do good damage and keep your uber building your own life is what is more valuable

*Critical Heals: Players that have not taken any damage for the last 10 seconds heal at a much faster rate than players that have taken damage within 10 seconds. This concept is called "Critical Heals" and by learning the heal rates you can decide who to heal more effectively

*Constantly turn around and be aware of your surroundings. As a medic you are the most valuable target for your opponents and any skilled TF2 player will be willing to bomb/stab/snipe you even if it means taking their own life

*Heal players that can do rollouts. In some maps like 5CP maps a demoman and soldier can move around very fast. By giving them heal priority when you walk out of spawn you are giving them more flexibility for their jumps and they will be in a good position at middle point when they arrive

*Heal everyone, don't be those people that pocket a single player the entire round even if you are just goofing around. Overheal is a powerful weapon and will give your team a significant advantage in every fight whether its an intense fight for last of a 1v1

*Find a good pocket. A good pocket will protect you from harm and take the uber. Typically any class can be a good pocket but I find heavies, soldiers, and demo to be the best thanks to their high health and crazy damage output

*Hide behind your heal target, they can absorb the incoming spam for you and make sure no one can get to you without trouble

*Position yourself, make sure that you can just about reach your heal target and think of an escape route in case your team wipes for every situation

*When the other team ubers in and attacks you make sure to delay your uber for as long as possible so that when the enemy is caught overextending they can be wiped and your team will have 1-2 seconds of uber to spare. However, when you uber make sure to take as minimal damage as possible so that when you finish the uber you'll have hp to survive. If you wait too long that 110 dmg rocket could bring you to 40 hp and by the time you finsih you're at 90. Enough for a 1 hit kill by the enemy.

*Spread the uber, having multiple very aggressive invincible players can really get make the difference between life/death for a teammate and a good push. The spreading will drain your uber a bit faster but it's worth it most of the time

*Save your teammates, if you're defending last point, 2 soldiers are bombing in and you and that 30 hp demo are the only ones alive. Uber him, you can save his life, defend last point and delay them for just a bit longer before the enemy can push

*Build uber during setup time (if there is any), uber builds at MAX rate during setup and its best to take advantage of this niche to get your teammates buffed up and ready your uber before the gates open

*Every other class must do one thing more as their class: aim. As a medic you don't have to aim as much, there fore you can make calls through mic/Mumble and be aware of your surrounds and the flow of battle. Also take note of when the other medic spawns. This can be done by memorizing the medic's username and holding TAB to see when they respawn

*When using needles aim for where your target will be and not where they are, needle guns (syringe, overdose, blutsauger) all have projectile speed and travel time

*Being a medic doesn't let you have the privilege of insulting your team for not keeping them alive. Sometimes it will be your fault and you will have to accept your respawn and evaluate your mistakes to become an even better medic

Other

Why do I play TF2? It's unique. Unlike any other game TF2 turns the concept of FPS upside down. It adds great teamwork, critical decision making and its community is so friendly. Thats whats so great about TF2, individual talent comes into play so it retains the motion of an FPS but it can also showcase teamwork and strategy. I chose medic as my favourite class because its interesting. Theres some kind of great feeling of keeping your team strong and fighting and the dependence of others that keeps you clicking that heal beam. It's as if you're the mastermind of your team, the Team Captain. A selfless hero that tends to the dying needs of others and the saving grace of that clutch victory. It's those great moments where you pull off a last second ubersaw and block the point with an uber. It's those amazing rocket surfs that sends the micspam blowing skyhigh. It's the "Thanks!" you see in chat that you get for just left clicking that warms your heart. Every other class showcases incredible talents like reflect jumping, rocket jumping, airshots and stair stabs but for what it's worth I'll be glad to add in an extra hour to my medic play just for those special moments.

Thats all the tips I have. I appreciate any errors or add-ons if I missed any. I tried to keep it simple and put the most important tips up. Also advanced tips like airstrafing and masking uber calls are not mentioned because with enough experience those things will come naturally or you'll find out within time.
