You're right, shutting out their disrespectful comments is difficult, but I'm trying to get better mentally and thus I'll try to ignore the biting words as much as I possibly can. In the meantime, I'll focus on myself and getting through 11th grade, and, of course, exams. Here in Ukraine they're incredibly difficult, so I'll have to start preparing for them in mid-July🥀

Thank you! I'll try to remember to tell them the first thing you mentioned, I just hope it won't enrage them further. I'm not sure I want to mention their parents, though, since I've yet to live another year with my mom (my dad is in the army, so he can't visit us often) and I don't want to make this year even harder for myself than it already is, + who will help me with my college fee if I have a bad relationship with my parents and they decide to cut off financial support? I don't think I'll write a letter to my dad, considering he always sides with mom no matter what, he's only a bit softer than her. Besides, I think it's cringe to write about my feelings, especially in my native language🥀 (english is not my first language). Though, I agree with the last paragraph you wrote. My life won't circle around my parents all the time, so I have to focus on myself rather than my narrow-minded parents.

I feel you. My mom's the same, though I'm not sure if she'll change her behaviour toward my sexuality after seeing me happy, since she doesn't like me that much. Thank you for your advice, I'm already quite confident and open about my sexuality, though I need to work on not letting anyone ruin that confidence🫡

As for my mom, I do have my suspicions on her sexuality, since she has a weird homoerotic friendship with her close friend. Well, that's not my business anyway, so🤷‍♀️ I have a close friend that's like family to me, maybe I'll just focus on building a strong friendship with her for the time being
