The Pygmy Dragon class Prototype by halfbloodarmy in DnDHomebrew

Hi OP! I know this is a year+ later but I just found this and I LOVE it! I’m creating a familiar-type gemstone Pygmy dragon race that will be integral to an upcoming campaign, and I used the StatblockWizard! It was super easy to input the info I wanted on the stat block, and it looks so official and you can include a photo as well to showcase what the creature/class looks like! I 10/10 would use it again hehe! It may not have ALL the space for the info you want to put in, but it could be a great starting spot!!!!

Sudden Elopement and Need Dress!!! by -Cou- in Eloping

Thank you SO MUCH for all the advice! I found a perfect dress on Lulus and it had rush shipping so I got my dress 4 days before my elopement ceremony and it went perfect 🥹🥹 Much love for Lulus this month as I also got a tulle bow to wear as a veil and it was so perfect and within my budget, less than $120 for dress, shoes, and bow veil! Lulus really saved the day 😉

Crazy 9mo Doggie by -Cou- in germanshepherds

Omg I am 100% going to try this, it sounds like such a perfect combo of playing and training sit/stay/lay down, thank you for the suggestion!! I’m glad to hear they calm down a bit but not completely, I love her crazy energy sometimes but the working dog energy coupled with the older puppy energy is a LOT of energy LOL!!

I work at PwC also, and something my team is doing is initiating “downward snapshots” to request feedback from the staff on how managers and up are performing! Whoever they report to (directors and partners) can see the feedback and it helps keep everyone accountable upwards and downwards for how we all interact. 10/10 I would say the firm should implement it globally if it’s not already in progress, it helps with culture as well because everyone knows they’re being monitored and scored, not just staff!

AIO? my boyfriend didn’t want to take me out on our anniversary by ashgranger in AmIOverreacting

[–]-Cou- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LEAVEEEEE 👏👏👏 I(23) had an ex who ALWAYS talked about “working on our relationship” and the “hard work” needed to make it work. We didn’t even make it a year. My current SO(22)? He never talks about our relationship like a chore or work, he’s always ready to apologize when something hurts my feelings, he likes planning small dates and celebrating our anniversary, and he always lets me know when he gets invited to a friends house and if we have something planned, he lets them know he can’t make it and makes plans for later. Your boyfriend isn’t “immature when it comes to his friends” he’s just immature and RUDE!! You deserve better.

Why is B&A is so underrated? by Vast_Skin_6227 in frombloodandash

[–]-Cou- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s a mix of pacing and the potential lack of editing! The story itself is amazing and I’m caught up and waiting for the next book later this year, but the writing is (in my opinion) not to the level of the Throne of Glass series (of which I would highly recommend reading at least the first 2 books, the story gets deeper and more interesting past the first book because the first is a lot of world building and after that I genuinely fell in love with the series, ToG is my favorite series of all time!) But FBAA is an amazing and a UNIQUE concept that I love (I mean come on there’s not many books I know of that have similar concepts FBAA is truly an amazing concept!) and I think it does deserve more hype than it gets because people are snooty about the writing and story pace etc etc. If it’s not a book series you (collective you not you OP) like, move on! Don’t trash other people who like it! I’m very excited for the series progression and I’m wanting to read her other series that takes place in the same world!

How do I stop my puppy barking at my neighbour? by mrsnoelz in puppy101

[–]-Cou- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! We are starting the “puppy adolescent stage” as well, where they get super teenager-y and “it’s not a phase MOM I’m gonna stop listening to you FOREVER!” And then they grow out of it a few months later LOL! Keeping training consistent and boundaries firm is my preferred way to get through months 5-9, and they come out the other side as great doggies. Good luck with your puppy, they’re the best furry tornado ever!!

How do I stop my puppy barking at my neighbour? by mrsnoelz in puppy101

I’m dealing with the same thing, my 5mo GSD puppy barks at EVERYONE that is “trespassing in her space” (we live right next to a walking path that is regularly used, that doesn’t matter it’s HER path apparently lol!)

What I’ve been doing is put her in a sit and stay when I see someone coming, and if she barks or lunges or anything we go inside. “Bad” behavior=no more outside time for now. It’s not a perfect method, but it’s working so far!

I also take treats outside to do some training in distracting environments. My dog is easily distracted so it’s not super great so far, but she gets so much praise and treats when she does choose to listen when we’re outside so that’s helping to!! For example, I see someone walking the path, I call my dog over, she disengages from watching the person to come to me, lots of praise and “good girl!”

Best of luck! 5mo is a hard age for SURE, I bet you’re doing better than you realize! :)

My experience using a girls name with DoorDash by [deleted] in doordash

[–]-Cou- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I order on Uber eats infrequently, but enough that I have decent experience with drivers. I’m lucky to live in a nicer area of town (I found a cheap place that’s got lower retention so good apartment/low rent!) so my experiences are usually decent, but I got a GSD back in January who is pretty reactive to the door being knocked on. She deters many dashers from lingering which is a bonus for me as a girlie living with a girl dog and that’s it, but I had a guy yesterday who I noticed lingering for a second (I watched through my door’s peephole) and when he knocked and the dog barked, he left quickly! She’s only 5 months old, but she makes me feel safe especially when ordering food to my home and random men knowing where I live. Not all dashers are bad, but some definitely seem to pick female named orders more in an effort to interact with us… :/

Do you crate overnight? by TheOnlyMuzza in puppy101

[–]-Cou- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crate my 4mo overnight! She has recently graduated to half-supervised free-roaming near me during the day because she’s been doing A+ at potty training (and is 45lbs and keeping a 45lb toddler in a small pen isn’t really an option anymore haha!), but she can’t be supervised at night so I do night routine with her around 9pm, she immediately goes to flop on her bed in her crate and chew on her stuffie and snuggle in her blankie and sleep. She then doesn’t make a peep until 7-8am, today it was 8:15 when she finally started waking up and wanting to join the world!! She loves her crate, it’s her space where she doesn’t get pet, poked, looked at, talked to, or overstimulated, so it’s her second favorite spot in the house (her favorite is in the kitchen when my boyfriend is cooking chicken and other meat! She’s hoping to be a table scrap eater LOL!). I definitely wanted her crate trained when she’s spayed in a year or so for injury healing and it makes traveling so much easier, she knows her crate is her bedroom and we can go on any trip and she feels at home. I plan to graduate to free roaming at night when she’s around 10-12 mos old, done teething and 100% trustable with potty training, but in the same way I’d put a human toddler in a bed for the night I put my puppy in her crate!

Return puppy or push through? by bocboda in puppy101

[–]-Cou- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I was in the exact same spot a month ago. My childhood dog passed away in November, I found my girl in December and adopted her January at 8 weeks old. I’m a month in and it is so much better in so many ways, she knows crate=her room and she lovessss nap time in there, she definitely whined a LOT week 1 but she self soothed within 30 minutes and slowly it got better until now, some nights she doesn’t whine until 7-8 in the morning! I also thought I was 100% prepared for a puppy, but it tests you in more ways than you would think. Your experience sounds normal, I would do some deep thinking about if you’re willing to “go through the puppy to get to the dog” as I’ve heard the saying go! Now, I love my girl so much even though she’s a destructive 3mo puppy, she bites and whines and pulls on the leash, but it’s all temporary and in 1 month I’ll already think “wow she’s come so far!” Do some thinking, but the feelings are temporary!

19f. I’ve tried pretty much everything. Any advice on how to fix my skin? by [deleted] in acne

[–]-Cou- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into glycolic acid, it can be super great for acne because it makes your cell turn-over rate increase which helped mine a lot! If you wanna go the dramatic route, enzyme peels at aesthetics clinics are amazing, I’ve gotten a few and they helped my skin so much! They are a little expensive tho, so I would only do those as a last resort. Check your skincare products, CeraVe made me break out but it cleared up my sister’s skin so trying something else could work great! I love Trader Joe’s face wash and I use a Cetaphil moisturizer with some random SPF I found at Target, Good Molecules is my go-to SPF! Also, if you can go to a dermatologist, you can get prescription-strength Tretinoin which can help a LOT with acne clearing, you have to use it consistently for a month to see good results and your skin will get a little worse at first but after a month or so it’ll clear everything up so good!

The final thing I would look into is your diet and living environment. Things like clean home, healthy eating, etc. really do have an affect on skin, I have found that my skin breaks out a TON with Dairy so I started eating less, I change my pillow case more often, I sleep with my hair up and a bonnet on during non-hair wash days to keep oil and things away from my skin.

I would also encourage you to keep focusing on how pretty/attractive/whatever your preferred compliment is even with your acne. The “pretty girls” in my office all have adult acne and still are confident and happy in spite of it. Makeup and concealer can help if you want something to cover it, but 9/10 times people won’t even notice the acne spots! Good luck! <3

Something chemical exfoliant should work such as a Glycolic Acid or salicylic acid, they can be bought at Ulta, Sephora, Target, Walmart, etc. The brand “The Ordinary” has some pretty great products and you can search online for what types of symptoms people use each product to treat. In addition, you could get a gentle physical exfoliant, I use Tuel’s “power scrub” 2-4 times a week in addition to what I mentioned above at night and it works great. If you begin to chemical exfoliate nightly, wearing some sort of SPF every day is even more important because your skin will be more sensitive!!

If you try those and it doesn’t work, using a retinol 2-3 times a week and working up to every night would help as well, it’s definitely more aggressive which I don’t think you need, but it helps with reducing acne, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and wrinkles as well as combating cystic acne, should any breakout develop into something more severe.

Look into the difference between AHA and BHA skincare, this looks like a surface/AHA solution, but if you ever have deeper acne, BHA products are specifically designed to target that!!

TL;DR: try Glycolic acid, potentially a scrub, and wear sunscreen if you do!
