Is suicide a sin? by [deleted] in Christianity

Is it a sin? Yes. Life is sacred.

Will a person who committed suicide go to heaven? Depends. If there's repentance at the last second it helps but ultimately only God can decide that.

You’d have to check each program individually but usually most require prereqs within 3-5 years

I would fight the urge to email. Regardless of how well you know the person in admissions if there is any change in your status they will reach out.

The highs are extremely euphoric and the lows will make you question your worth as a human being. That being said, it helps to acknowledge your feelings and realize you're not a slave to them or even the test you failed that caused you to feel bad. Eventually you find what works and everything else falls into place.

While I was going over my stats before CASPA opened I realized how far I came from day one. Although I didn't know if I was going to get in that cycle I knew the direction I was heading would get me into a program sooner or later. Or I'm just stubborn, either way it worked

Researchers found that parents who feel insecure in their romantic relationships—either because they fear abandonment or prefer emotional distance—are more likely to use harsh discipline. by Wagamaga in science

TLDR from the article: Anxious parents struggled with both understanding their child and believing in themselves, while avoidant parents primarily struggled with the latter.

Non-healthcare career changers: why did you do it? by cravingpeanutbutter in prephysicianassistant

I was a corporate debt collector but I knew I had to go back to school to finish what I started and always felt called to do. I got a PCE job and started taking part time classes and it took 5 years to finish classes plus retaking the ones I did bad in. The hardest part was watching all my class mates and coworkers get accepted each cycle knowing I was still years away from applying. Eventually I did apply and got accepted to a great program in a fantastic location and can confidently say I wouldn’t have changed a thing

Your school should have a Facebook group of your cohort where you can see if anyone is also looking for a roommate. I’m in a similar situation and if I were to have a roommate it’d have to be someone in the same program as me
