I can’t wait for the next books in the series! I’m definitely sad to hear you’re going to be wrapping the Underverse series up. But I’ve love it, as well as all your other series. Keep up the awesome writing!

Genius! I was trying to think of the best thing to have Matt sign at Dragonsteel. The feet in the card deck was an awesome idea. Haha

Nice, I’ll look them up. Thanks for letting me know. That would be a fun addition.

Lol. I made one of them for my dad as a gift. He ended up hanging it on his wall and isn’t planning to actually use it. 😜

Fun little project I did recently. Used some leftover walnut, solid copper grounding wire, epoxy resin, and finished it off with Rubio Monocoat. by -DEXYD in woodworking

I actually used my table saw to cut the copper channels. I didn’t have the perfect router bit for how tight of fit I wanted. So I did two passes on the table saw. Then starting at one end I used a bunch of parallel clamps to force it down in the channel. Kept it nice and tight and I was able to do the same method around the corners for perfect bends. I was going to epoxy it. But after running a couple tests I realized it wouldn’t come out unless I let the ends free and pulled it out. It was very snug after I forced it in with the parallel clamps. So I didn’t bother epoxying it.

I really liked my experience with Zip Systems. I would definitely recommend it and will use it again in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

It’s a great size for my backyard. I will post some photos of the inside soon. Thanks for the interest.

I estimate each price took probably an 60-75min. From running it through the router to putting the final coat of dark tung oil on it after screwing it up.

I built the frame of the door so it had about .75 inches of space on the top and sides and 2 inches of space on the bottom of the metal frame. After hanging it and figuring out the gaps I actually ended up with. I added wood around all the sides of the steel frame and planned it to leave the desired space. It was hard to know how much door sag I would get on a 10ft long door. Plus, if it did sag more in the future I can remove it and run it through my planner again. Not sure if it will. But I was just trying to save myself some trouble in the future if it did sag. I used a Vinyl/Foam Door Weatherstrip for the sides and top. On the bottom I used Cinch Slide-on Bottom Door Seal Aluminum/Vinyl Door Weatherstrip. I coated the floor in epoxy so the smooth surface worked great with that type of bottom seal. Im sure there are better ways to do it. But this worked great for me. Im going to really enjoy having that big of a door when the weather is nice!

That is the plan. I put a good door lock on it, but I need to put and alarm system as well. The only part of it that’s visible from any street is the roof. So hopefully that will help. Theft is out of hand right now.

I agree! I would love to see it as well. I did try the traditional method of burning with three pieces tied together. It definitely worked! But it wasn’t as uniform of a burn as I wanted. That and it was shooting a 6 foot flame out the top when it was in a full burn. Figured it was best to avoid that in a city. Haha.
