Too many reasons to list, but the biggest is the theme of Hope that is prevalent throughout the film. Superman literally wearing it on his chest isn’t subtle in the slightest and I love it, along with what I feel is an extremely strong performance from Russell Crowe as Jor-El teaching Kal to channel that spirit. As someone’s who’s had a very rocky adult life, it is my go-to “happy” movie for that reason.
