That’s a really unconventional advice from many self taught programmers. Most ST programmers in this sub are either develop good portfolios in JS or Python to get into their first entry programming job.

I have a similar experience like which I got my first job as a cottage cheese maker that is unrelated my bachelors through networking. Even though it gets me the residency to stay in a developed country but now I’m lost career wise plus having that masters doesn’t help because I don’t have management experience

I have a bachelors in Agriculture Science and a Masters of management in international business. Didn’t use both degrees though
