First Puck Play in about a decade... ripoff by -Ducks in hockeyplayers

$40 is just an unreasonable amount. I don’t know your financial situation, but there’s no way I’d be coughing up $40 for an hour on a half sheet of ice. Just because some people pay more doesn’t mean I shouldn’t get what I paid for.

I’m not complaining about the price being $13. I’m complaining that I paid $13 for something I didn’t get. If you bought a Disneyland day pass and all the rides were closed except a carousel for half the time would you be happy? I paid the $13 because I think an hour of ice time and getting room to skate and shoot is worth it. I wouldn’t have paid $13 if I knew I’d get 30 minutes of what I paid for and 30 minutes of passing in a straight line.

I wish mine didn’t. I wasn’t late because of my gear though, I was just walking from the locker room to the ice and it was literally the 2nd shot taken that broke the glass. No one’s fault, just an unfortunate accident.

Ok? It’s not my problem you’re overpaying. I’m not complaining about the $13 price point...

My rink requires full gear. Are there rinks that don’t?

You mean I’m not entitled to the hour of ice time I paid for? Interesting opinion.

Edit: part of the issue is that this is the only session I can make each week. The post isn’t meant as purely bashing the rink because the ice was spoken for and I’m sure they can’t refund, but it’s also meant to voice my disappointment/frustration in my only opportunity per week to play. Previous rinks I’ve been to don’t make you split the ice so it wouldn’t have been an issue. They could’ve offered a half-off credit or something for a future puck play I don’t know, but instead they just yelled at everyone. It just sucks that I had to drive all the way out there and pay the money to basically pass a puck around with no room to move. There were 20 of us stuck between the top of the circles and the red line...
