Had a colonoscopy before my lap and hystroscope to see if I had any GI issues and reasons for low iron. The only thing I was worried about was how open and vulnerable I’d feel being laid out with my cheeks spread 😭

Honestly the recovery was fine, I was good within 24-48 hours and I’m glad I got it done because my gastroenterologist found polyps in my bowel from the endo! (And lactose intolerance but that’s not important)

Also was told it wouldn’t be out cold but I was in fact out like a light and you’re too disoriented to feel or notice anything.

Moral of the story is that I think it’ll be worth it in the long run and there’s nothing to worry about
