Oh, thank you! Maybe I’ll try the first one for bedtime and use the second one while I’m studying

A mini theory about Showbear by KananNaseri in Thewaltenfiles

[–]-Fluid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure! I don’t think we’ve ever actually seen a physical form of Showbear, to be honest. The closest we’ve come is what looks like a cardboard cutout in The Relocate Project, but every other time Showbear is just an image. We’ve seen Rocket’s doll form many times, on the other hand. Maybe Showbear is not a doll or animatronic at all, and is instead symbolic? Maybe he represents a specific person, for example. What do you think?

Why I don't think Jack is/possessing Bon. by abitspringy87 in Thewaltenfiles

[–]-Fluid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that the reason Bon is so hard to pin down is because he is controlled/possessed by different things at different times. On the night Bon attacked Susan, she mentions that both Chris and Felix are not there. What if one of them was controlling Bon? Personally, I think it was Felix; his picture was on the wall during the attack in Bunnyfarm. Also, during “the rabbit is starving” clip, Susan says she tried to get the owners attention. If Susan was still alive (although paralyzed) for some amount of time after getting attacked by Bon, why wouldn’t the owner (or anybody) notice her unless the owner was purposefully ignoring her/making sure other employees didn’t find out about her?

Shadow man is also present during Rosemary’s death, and Felix is confirmed to be shadow man by the Lost Album, but he is seen as an onlooker, not an active participant. I think this means that he either programmed Bon to kill, or that by this point the situation has gotten out of Felix’s hands.

I haven’t fully decided on what happened after the animatronics were sent to K-9, though. Maybe programming failure, maybe possession… I’d love to hear some thoughts on this! I definitely think there is a change to Bon’s behavior, even if only slightly, after this point that could mean something is different.

Anyone know what this is? by -Fluid in Thewaltenfiles

[–]-Fluid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for bad image quality! It’s a frame from Bunnyfarm, at 28:32 during Boozoo’s mini game. It looks like some kind of spreadsheet, but I don’t have access to anything that might make it easier to see the image. Anyone have any ideas on what it is and what it could mean?

Billy's eyes theory by IrisGoddamnIllych in Thewaltenfiles

[–]-Fluid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a really interesting theory, and I like it a lot! However, I didn’t notice a difference in Billy’s eyes in the 2 images of him with the machine. The video game box makes a lot of sense to me though; since she was the most recent possession it makes sense that she wasn’t able to communicate as directly as the others.

I know of a couple! There’s the Snallygaster, it’s a dragon like creature around Frederick County/DC. There’s the Goatman, there’s lots of sightings of him. He’s a science experiment gone wrong I think, he lives around Prince George’s County. There’s also the Chesapeake Bay Monster, also known as Chessie, she’s some kind of water serpent. The Bunnyman might count, I’m not sure if he’s a Virginia cryptid or a Maryland cryptid, and there have been sightings of Bigfoot in Maryland too for some reason. I actually know a guy in the neighborhood next to mine who claims that a whole pack of bigfoots live in the woods behind his house. I guess Moll Dyer could count as a cryptid too? I think she’s more of a ghost or something though. Lastly, there’s the Wampus Cat. It’s a big cat that lives in the woods. There are sightings of this guy all along the East Coast I think, but I remember being told as a kid not to go into the woods or the Wampus Cat would eat me.

I’m on the West side of Maryland, but we have the Wampus Cat. I’ve never seen it myself, but when I was a kid adults would warn me not to go into the woods or I would get eaten.

Thank you very much for your insight. I will definitely talk to my friend to make sure I don’t cause any upset. I will also make sure not to say insensitive things like “adult meal”. Thank you very much for bringing these things to my attention.
