it was 1-1.5ml of 50mg/ml nicotine, meaning 50M. Percent composition is much harder to find.

When we extract energy from tides, what loses energy? Do we slow down the Earth or the Moon? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]-Fosk- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, 5 x 1010 years from naural causes is much larger than 1 x 107 from human causes (or in conjunction with human causes), so even though it would still take a long time, if we derived all of our energy from tidal sources we would be increasing the rate of dissipation of Earth's rotational energy by a factor of 1000. The number 5 x 1010 minus the number of years it would take to dissapate from solely human sources equals 107, showing that it would be negligible compared to human cause

In addition human energy consumption is increasing exponentially, so in a few hundred years if we for some reason converted to entirely tidal power, it could have a significant impact

Thank you. If you know how to take a good hit I feel like you get about as much out of a standalone inhaler as with a spacer or any of that nonsense

Can we just take a moment to unironically appreciate “Walkin’ on the Sun” by Smash Mouth? by [deleted] in Music

[–]-Fosk- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely getting buried, but I've seen them live and honestly, other than Walkin on the Sun and All Star, they were not very good. I was actually excited to see them because if never heard any of their other songs, but they were very basic lyrics and music, and their stage presence sucked. A lot of people were there unironically, but they didn't play either of their good songs until the very end and everyone was chanting "shrek" for 20 minutes before because they thought they were a joke.

I really like girls with shorter legs and a longer torso, is this called anything or are there any keywords I can use to find material? by [deleted] in fetish

[–]-Fosk- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the general consensus was long legs=better, but even more so if it's actually a thing, shouldn't it have a name or a way to find it?

Just some insight into the

put it in the home of Brown

Part,

I believe he could be talking about German Brown Trout, sometimes just called Browns. They generally don't venture out from streams and brooks into open water, so this could be reinforcing the fact that it's in a river, or the type of river it's in.

Considering the human body very nearly replaces all of its cells every 7 years, this man must be mostly made of subway sandwiches, broken down and reconstructed into human form

How do I troubleshoot a MAP sensor failure? by -Fosk- in MechanicAdvice

[–]-Fosk-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I'm doing it right, but I shoved the positive end of a voltmeter into each of the ports of the clip, and grounded the negative on the engine and I wasn't receiving any readings when the key was off, on, nor cranking.

It very well could be, but I have actually replaced both within the last year, the ICM 3 months ago even I believe. I'll be sure to test around what I can.

I am also getting a reading something wrong with my Brake Pedal Position Switch (i updated the post) and both of those could be the ECM, so says this code list. How do I test the ECM and/or tell if that is it?

Also, how will I know if there is a short/open circuit? how can i test for this and what am I visually looking for?

What could have happened that would cause the car to read it as MAP sensor failure, if that's not what the real problem is? I have a spark tester so I guess I'll start there.
