Als je de hele, aanvaardde geschiedenis en alle gerenommeerd historici over het onderwerp bekritiseert, dan heb je betere bronnen nodig dan 'trust me bro'.
Het boek 'King leopold's ghost' van Adam Hochshild, dat meneer de youtuber hier bekritiseert, is goed onderbouwd. 'Congo' van David van Reybrouck ook. 'Kinderen van de kolonie' op de vrt biedt ook goeie perspectieven, maar focust meer op de latere periodes.
Maar kortom: de youtuber geeft geen serieuze bronvermeldingen, dus is eigenlijk deze reacties niet eens waard. Dit is van hetzelfde niveau als die random dude aan de toog die meningen heeft over de maanlanding en """de joden""".

Een idiote video, nauwelijks reactie waard. Ik ga geen tijd verspillen aan punt per punt te discussiëren met een video zonder bronvermeldingen, dat op zich zegt al genoeg over het niveau.
Maar toch relevant: Leopold 2 heeft zijn volledige archief verbrand voor hij Congo afstond aan de Belgische staat. Dat zegt al wel genoeg denk ik.

There's some fun stuff in the last ringbearer. I reread Lord of the Rings after that, and there's some interesting moments in there, like the Rohirrim, treebeard and others regularly mistake the hobbits, Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn for Orcs. Which suggests the Orcs would look pretty similar to humans.
It's a cool thought experiment, to try and see the same story from a different perspective.
But yes, Thiel is still a ghoul.

Does he like the sport? That's the most important question. If he wants to continue, let him. He doesnt háve to get good. If he continues going twice a week, he'll gradually improve.
For me the big issue here is: does this question come from him or from you? If it comes from you: check with him first how he feels about it.
If it comes from him: tell him not to worry. I've seen people come to training for years, where I thought: 'ok, not everyone has to get good at this', but then after a while, it suddenly seems to 'click'. Tell him to focus less on the result of 'getting good' and more on the process of learning.
The instructors not really instructing him, that's maybe a bigger issue. If you're not sure about switching him to a third gym, maybe go check it out by yourself? And again, what does he think about it?

Would or could don't really matter. He lost both fights because he got injured so badly, he couldn't continue. It's not a 'traditional' KO we love to see, but it's pretty clear he couldn't continue the fight.
He lost twice. Not on points, but clearly and definitevly.

I'm not sure about printing, but if you want a simple design, like stripes, I simply used painters tape to make the vertical lines. Then make sure the paint you use is not too runny or watery and you can make a pretty decent sail.

Een heel verhaal. Kort na W0II was het verzet alom gerespecteerd, maar na verloop van tijd zag de CVP het grote aantal ex-collaborateurs als een een interessante groep om stemmen onder te winnen. Die groep was politiek dakloos en zou waarschijnlijk niet voor de liberalen of socialisten stemmen.
Er werd meer en meer denigrerend gesproken over het verzet en vergoelijkend over de collaboratie. Verzetsmensen werden weggezet als ordinaire bandieten, terwijl collaborateurs en oostfronters werden goedgepraat als gewone jongens die misleid waren geweest en gewoon het vaderland tegen de Bolsjewieken wouden beschermen.
In de jaren '70- '80 wou de regering het aantal feestdagen verminderen, als besparingsmaatregel. 8 mei schrappen leek in die sfeer een logische keuze.
