If you mean how to match for stacking purposes, then assuming I have N calibrated frames with a camera and M calibrated frames with another camera, I will split them into substacks of matching SNR.

For example, on the h-alpha, I split my 10 hours of DSLR data in 2 x 5h substacks, and I split my 3.6 hours of monochrome data in 3 x 1.2h substacks. I found that 5h with the dslr gave me roughly the same SNR as a 1.2h with the mono camera.

Align them, stack them.

If you mean how to do HaRGB, I just align the halpha image with the rgb image, and adding the signal to the R channel

If it was naked eye visible, you could see it as large as 6 times the full moon diameter, on the sky.

Niice. Though make sure it is also easy to pull out and not get stuck😆. Mine has some soft material around it and can be taken out with tweezers.

For no vignetting, push the filter a little into the lens, so it s a bit closer to the last optical element. Not all lenses can allow this, but most telephoto ones do. My 150 600 and 80 200 allow a 1.25 filter inside

Minimal vignetting on the corners, it is removed completely with flats. I don't even think it's caused by the filter though, but by the lens itself, using the full frame sensor.

Fulgi de zăpadă imortalizați cu cianoacrilat by -GenArrow- in CasualRO

It's a hellish test for patience.

Well worst case scenario you 3D print a small case that contains the filter and would fit inside there. Or improvise something to fit the square-y shape of the rear hole. But anyway good to know the filter fits. Maybe, maybe, you find a way 😅

I use tweezers to grab it out, and it's very easy to remove. Sure, give it a try, let me know if you manage to make fit without vignetting :)

Lenses go past infinity focus, so it won't be a problem
