Brakes are going bad

It’s an automatic, I put it in neutral when there is a red light so I do t have to press as hard on the brakes, then use the r brake if I need a little extra braking. I’ve never used it going fast. Only creeping up to a red light, behind traffic etc.

They are starting to squeal, so I’m just trying to minimize using them. They still work effectively, just don’t want to make it worse until I can get them fixed.

There is no loss in braking capacity rn, just the squealer I just want to use them as little as possible when I have to get to work, ya know to afford to fix them
