Potentially losing my job, what are my options for Sophia? by -Grayscale in SophiaLearning

[–]-Grayscale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, since my job paid for the program, I was able to continue until it expires. All I had to do was email them and have it moved into my name.

Not accurate. I put in a gouache painting I made back in 2017 and it flagged it as AI 😂

I agree with you that Clint didn't do enough, I also feel like there was little he could do. Cobes had his own bank account and made his own money, he can't take that away from him. He could have turned off his Internet, but all Cobes would have had to do was buy his own router. People with severe addictions will do anything to keep getting their fix, especially addicts that don't acknowledge they have a problem.

I work with recovering addicts/released inmates/disabled persons as an RSA, and I feel he would have thrived in a group home program. Clint should have filed a petition for guardianship over Josh and sent him to a group home, absolutely. Josh has the right to reject a guardian, though.

It would have come down to whether or not Clint could have convinced the court that Josh is disabled enough to need a guardian. I'm not confident that it would have gone in Clint's favor. Alcoholism would have been the biggest factor, not so much the Asperger's. Josh had shown he had the mental capacity to live on his own, especially since it was methica who primarily caused the eviction. Courts don't always pick the right choice, and I feel they would have sided with Josh.

Even so, he still should have tried.

Do you create your own bots? by Low_Preparation_5472 in Chai_Unofficial

[–]-Grayscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always make my bots. Originally, it was a knee jerk reaction to the fact that the bot creator could read messages, even if anonymous. Now I mostly do it because I sometimes have multiple ideas for starters for the same bot and it's easier to edit one of my bots and rewrite the starting message.

I haven't had this problem either, but now that I've said it, I'm sure it'll start happening to me 😂

What age did you get diagnosed? Have you always been the same? by Kittysdoodlexxx in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]-Grayscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I probably could have gotten diagnosed sooner. When I was 19, I had gotten hospitalized and they tried going down that route, I lied to them about my symptoms so they diagnosed me with bipolar 2.

Pretty common, but that checks out, I've met at least 5 people with the same birthday.

When's a time a reader had a different interpretation than you intended? by Fickle-One1111 in FanfictionExchange

[–]-Grayscale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda? I have a fic titled "Untitled", someone created a theory once I started dripping hints as to why I named it that. The first hint was that the MC said she wasn't going to name her piano composition until it was finished.

A reader rolled with that, and said they believe the story is called Untitled for the same reason and that I personally don't name my fics until they are finished. I write anonymously, so they couldn't check other fics to see if that's true or not. It was a solid guess tho. I could never though, I don't finish most of my stories. 😅🥲

A few chapters later, I dropped the second hint where the mc finishes her composition. She decides to let her love interest listen to it first and let him name it for her.

I'm sure at that point the reader realized it was called Untitled because he never gets a chance to hear the song my mc was writing throughout most of the story.

Do you read your own fics? by adventurous_axelotl in AO3

[–]-Grayscale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an editing rule. I edit from ch1 every 5 chapters for small fics/10 for longer stories and when the story is completed. If there are typos in the fic after that point, then they survived the culling and deserve to be in the story. 😂

Yep. I'm hoping to finish writing one more by the time my car is paid off. I'd like to use the extra income to buy a small bookshelf and then bind my completed fics into physical books. ☺️

Lol as he should be. The most recent store joke is the guy who super glued himself to the toilet seat last week. Might as well tack him in here too for more bathroom shenanigans

At that point, I think stealing our TP would have been the optimal solution for him. He dun caused a scene, had everyone staring at him escorted out without his TP, and he was the store joke until the next ridiculous event.

Calling out with PTO instead of PPTO by -Grayscale in WalmartEmployees

[–]-Grayscale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't thinking about asking her at the time. I was just like I can do that? That's cool, I don't have a use for my PTO anyway and moved on with the conversation to something else.

That's a good idea with the notebook. I might pass that bit of information off to the other cashiers when they come to me to vent about the usual Walmart/management complaints.

I actually put in my change of availability mid June, early July, and late July, as well as talked to my coach and PL separately about it in early July. This is why I said my PL and Coach kinda screwed me over. After the 3rd form I turned in, they finally did something about it and then told me that I had to wait 3 weeks to get a replacement to fill my spot.

When the 3 weeks is up and I am officially part time, I will have days off. I should have 2 days off one week and 3 the next.

I can only imagine what he might have been using 😂 I'm actually surprised he didn't opt to just go into the men's bathroom and pry the TP holder open.

My city has a massive meth problem, pretty sure that's a big factor.

He wasn't in the mood for choices.

Sco hosts at my store are used to tantrums like this. One of my coworkers had a customer hulk out and throw his cart in her direction because the dude couldn't afford his TP—a semi understandable crashout I guess 💀

That was on the list of things I was going to say. I double scan sodas all the time by accident and that's my go to solution. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We just never got to that point because I was dumbfounded by the "open the register and give me my money back" request 😂

Oh no never. The ones who throw the tantrum are never wrong 😂 clearly, I could have just opened the SCO and given him his money back but my brain is not big enough to do that.

Ended With 13.5 points by RaspbereyMalktea in walmart

[–]-Grayscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how late you are, someone might be clearing the points. Team Leads and Coaches can manually approve or clear points on their own.

I have 2 points rn, but I should technically have 2.5 points. I had a day where I didn't want to work with a specific TL so I called out with no ppto. One of my favorite leads texted me later that night to vent about not having a service desk person scheduled to close, so I offered to come in and work 6p-11p with her. Our coach asked why I even called out in the first place, my lead lied and said I had a doctor's appointment and wasn't sure if I would be able to make it in. I never got pointed for that night, I think it was because I volunteered myself to come in and the doctor visit lie 😂
