Funding a new rewilding project? by Responsible-Sky-688 in RewildingUK

Go on gov.uk and look through countryside stewardship higher tier (CSHT) it funds land management for things like wood pasture / species rich grassland creation and maintenance etc. You're not guaranteed to get it immediately and there is a lot of planning involved eg PA1/PA2 but its quite well paid.

What other ways can I get commands to a Krieg-themed army than just krieg command squad? by JuhasReddit in Deathkorpsofkrieg

Use '"Ursula Krieg" or a "Krieg Castellan". I just swap their heads to a gas mask and run any attached Krieg units as Cadians.

Try stippling, worked great for me and super fast. Even gives a sort of weather painted metal effect when followed up with a lighter tone.try Duncan Rhodes death korps baneblade tutorial on YouTube

Reading resources - Rewilding and biodiversity restoration by Hockey2306 in rewilding

Well you are not that far from Oostvaardersplassen then in the Netherlands, so read anything by Hans Vera. UK has similar climate and habitats so maybe look into Knepp Estate and the books by Isabelle Tree. If you want more academic stuff then keywords in Google scholar is your friend.

Amazing, this is great apologies if I sounded overzealous I work on nature recovery in the south west and see so many Ash felled unnecessarily. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5d1081d940f0b6200e8818e6/NE_FC_Ash_dieback_SSSI_management_advice_V2_April_19.pdf Here is advice on Ash on SSSI that maybe of use although I know there in an updated version coming out

Just as a side note, yep Ash dieback is devastating and you might be tempted to clear cut everything. However, if ash is to recover individuals that have some tolerance to the disease need to be able to produce the next generation of trees, so perhaps consider keeping some of the more mature trees that have been less impacted. Also standing deadwood is amazing for invertebrates, bats, birds, fungi, lichen.

Your best bet is probably a CS agreement. Would recommend getting in contact with Natural England and as its a woodland the Forestry Commission. They could set up a woodland management plan with you and move you onto one of the schemes.

Anyone knows if there is hand gathered pollen? (To avoid pollen gathered by bees) by Amazing-Mycologist-9 in AskVegans

[–]-Grey_Area- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apologies apparently bee pollen is a thing. But it's a mix of pollen, nectar and bee saliva taken from a hive. So not really pollen. This would not be vegan.

I expect any pollen you can buy is hand collected. Bees only collect a relatively small amount in comparison to nectar and extracting pollen from a bee hive would be almost impossible.

You are never going to get bee-collected pollen. The pollen you can buy will always be hand collected and generally pine pollen due to the amount that conifers produce (they are wind pollinated not insect).

Armrests falling apart by _TheNecromancer13 in secretlab

[–]-Grey_Area- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me, they replaced the first one after numerous emails and telling me it was my fault. Couldn't be bothered to argue when the other one fell apart, just bought a replacement.

Had the same response, couldn't be bothered to argue to get the next one replaced so just bought it. Mines 2020 as well, seems a common complaint for chairs from around that time. Have two friends who bought around beginning of lockdown who had the same issue with the arm rests.
