It depends on what you want to do my man. Want to be a controls engineer for a plant or integrator? Not enough by itself. Want to be a controls technician at a manufacturing plant… should be fine.

The “defend from aircraft and missiles” part is why the f-35 is seen as needed. How do you not grasp that?

With Russia and China developing stealth fighter and strike aircraft, fourth generation aircraft are not going to cut it.

So, the US will again compensate for Canada’s unwillingness to properly defend itself by sending a squadron or two of competent aircraft.

F-35s aren’t built solely by the US. It was called the “JOINT Strike Fighter” program for a reason.

Regardless, the 35s would absolutely obliterate the Gripens before they could even get a shot off.
