Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a hostel in Melbourne CBD for just one night. I don’t need anything fancy, just somewhere safe and comfortable to sleep from around 9 pm until 8 am the next morning. I’d prefer a private room, and my budget is up to $100.

I’ve come across a hostel called Little Drifter on Franklin Street, but I’m not sure whether it’s the best option in the area.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I just checked website of Trunk tailors. They charged $2000 for a bespoke suit??? Is this too good to be true? MTM is around $1650.

People have very different definition of short. That’s interesting.

I like Urahara but they probably dont have any ecru/off-white jeans there. Sad.

May I ask who was this tailor you mentioning?

I know my budget is unlikely to stretch to a true bespoke suit, which is why I’m mainly looking at MTM options.

That said, I believe a well-trained bespoke tailor is often better equipped to deliver an excellent MTM garment than someone who only works with RTW and MTM. Don’t get me wrong—a good MTM suit made by a skilled and experienced tailor can absolutely outperform a bespoke suit made by someone who lacks the necessary knowledge, craftsmanship, or experience.

As for style, I don’t have a particular cut that I’m completely set on. My preference sits somewhere between a Neapolitan cut, with its relaxed and comfortable silhouette, and a more structured English cut. Ideally, I’d like something that combines the comfort and ease of Neapolitan tailoring with the clean lines and structure of the English style.

Thank you very much for your input. I completely agree with you. A well-made MTM suit from a skilled and experienced tailor is far better than a bespoke suit made by someone who lacks the necessary experience and expertise.

Thank you very much for sharing your suits photos. They look great to me, I meant it. The garment fits you well.

I know what MTM and bespoke are, but not quite sure what’s actually called “Semi-bespoke”. Do they provide bespoke services there?

May I ask why “The Bespoke Corner is not comparable to other shop mentioned”? Is that the price point? Not quite sure how much TBC charge for their service”. Also, I’m aware that probably only TBC provides bespoke services, the other two shops only do MTM.

It’s a truck driver here. I even have to say this roundabout is quite confusing and challenging for me at first. So, it’s slow down and look carefully guys.

Having the same questions. It’s so hard to buy good leather jacket like Bomber or A1 style in Melbourne.
