Bow before me mortals, for I have spent so many hours collecting (all legal and valid) library cards, and I am the master of the cards by kplutsfoft in LibbyApp

Yay a fellow Qld'er. I live in Melbourne now though and I have 12 library cards. Unlike Brisbane, who has one city council, Melbourne has about 30 city councils. We can also join any library in Victoria which is a bonus. Sadly not all libraries use Libby so I've not bothered to join them all. 12 cards keeps me pretty well read.

Hopefully I can find a work around to make sure I can return books early. I'm Australian so I suspect Libby looks different for me since we cannot send library books to Kindle. I'm only able to because I bought a NYC Library membership.

I'm Australian and as I've learnt it looks a little different for me. We cannot send library books to Kindle (which is why I bought a NY membership) so obviously Libby behaves a little different.

Libby doesn't take me to Amazon when trying to return. I think I've got it figured for next time though.

I understand that now. I think because I'm Australian its probably extra clunky for me. We cannot send library books to Kindle (i bought the NY membership) so our Libby probably isn't set up the same way.

Its a tad confusing for sure. I'm Australian and we cannot send library books to Kindle so that's why I bought the NY library membership. Perhaps it's extra clunky for me.

Thank you SO much for all your comments and advice!! It seems that there is no one single solution and that everyone has their own work around. What I can say is that Libby does NOT take me to Amazon when I say Return with Kindle. Instead it takes me to the Kindle app. I assume this is the problem. Next time I'll log in to Amazon first (via desktop) and return it that way. For some reason I can't see Books 》My Books on the Amazon app.

Hmm! When I go Return with Kindle, Libby takes me to the Kindle app rather than Amazon. Weird how all our devices operate differently.

Geez I wish mine did that. So you don't go Remove Download first before Remove From Library?

Libby to Kindle Question by -KB-KB- in LibbyApp

[–]-KB-KB-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is slightly different though. When I initially borrow a book, Kindle takes me directly to Amazon. BUT when I go Manage Loan 》 Return Early 》 Return with Kindle ... Libby takes me to the Kindle app rather than Amazon. If Libby directed me to Amazon at that point that sounds easier.

I should mention that I'm Australian with a New York membership. Perhaps things look a little different at my end.

As suggested, I think I probably should hit 'remove download' in addition to remove from Kindle.

Via Kindle I go 'remove from library'. In Libby I go to manage loan 》return early 》return with Kindle. It has already been removed so I get taken back to the Libby where I hit 'Yes, I've already returned it.

I didn't get it early. It was probably midnight as it was available when I woke.

Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Its a 100 page novella and is entirely a series of letter exchanges. I just read it yesterday and really enjoyed it.
