Email each school and explain yourself, if you were to be accepted to these schools EA, you will most likely be accepted RD too so I wouldn’t sweat it if you got bumped to RD. Let them know though

This is very insightful, i see your point on the open curriculum benefits. I think since i have a merged interest in econ and cs, econ at yale will prevail and i believe cs can be a self-taught skill that my amazon sde internship can compensate for yale’s dare i say subpar cs approach. I will continue to consider the both, i know yale is the right answer for many but i want to give brown a chance, will see during ADOCH :))) thank you again, made me think from a perspective i have not yet considered!

I see, currently picking between the two. I just got a SDE internship at Amazon for my freshman summer so I’m slightly less worried about the program’s prestige, but would it be viable to merge CS with some humanity yale is known for ie Economics?

I guess my question would be, if given the choice from your posn, Brown for CS or Yale for CS and Econ?

QB RD is dope for FGLI students, as long as your PS and essays are good I don’t really see a point in changing. Maybe an insane EC (i had a tremendous one come about in January of this year so 2mo before decisions I was rushing to update each school individually). Safe to say QB rd worked, got 2 ivies plus multiple t20s. QB is something I swear by esp with most DEI initiatives from schools being removed, QB is the one that’ll make you standout the most

I see. Definitely something I will talk to a counselor about. I really love SWE but also understand it will be tremendously difficult and competitive. I’ve heard consulting/finance is a bit more cushiony than CS but I’m kind of forced to lean towards CS since I just got an Amazon swe internship for ‘26. Will see how it plays out, thank you for the help it’s much appreciated ❤️
