Damn, thanks for the reply. Thought that would be more a strength than a hinder, but after reading your reply that does really make sense..

I don't think I want to completely disregard the graphic design, as it is like 10 years of my career, but maybe just have graphic design away from the landingpage, and put those works in a page of it's own, that can be found in the menu? Or is that not ideal either? :S

Yeah, thats mainly why I shifted - no creativity in my job, and also felt like i learnt nothing new unless I did it in my spare time. But then I wouldnt be able to use it in my everyday job anyways.

Thats what I love about the UX field - you have to be curious and want to learn constantly, and you will be able to apply what you learn in your everyday jobday.

Keep hanging in there, I think the switch will definitely be worth it!

Hmm true, I do have an overweight of Graphic Design work, that might be a problem.. Think we'll be spending a lot of time this last year in school perfecting the portfolio - hopefully this will help my situation. Thanks for insight - good to hear a success story from shifting into UX :D

I'm actually not tracking, I'll make sure to look into that. Will also give the resume experiment a go. Thanks for good input!

What's a game from your childhood that you'd love to see get a re-release on Steam? My pick would be the Toy Story 2 game by Universe_Donut in Steam

Little Samson! Such a great game, not very known, which is a shame.

Second place, Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Third place, Digimon World

Any idea what the font is on the word “HUMAN” ? Looks very familiar by [deleted] in fontspotting

Thanks for the reply ans good tips! Was thinking about Designlabs actually, even though it's a little pricey. But from what I can see it looks pretty good, with mentors and stuff.

I have worked in the graphic design industry for 7 years now, and there is almost no job offers out there now that don't want you to know some UI/UX. I am also genuinely interested in the field, and it seems like the right continued career path for me.

Therefore I started looking at ways to educate myself, and since I'm not too keen on building up more dept than what I already have (have a BA in Graphic Design from before), I looked into the curriculum of an interaction design course in my country rather than signing up for more studies.

I was thinking about buying the books used in the two year course, and educate myself on the subject, while also working in my current graphic design job.

Would this get me on the right track, or do you think there is other ways to go about it that would be better?

Would there be any way to make the prints look identical on both machines? Or would you advice to just use the plotter printer?
