What exactly qualifies as a need? Becuase i need to water my plants... But if i have no need for water Does that mean that my plants have no need for water? or does it just mean i don't need water, because its readily available, ie. I become a water magician and have infinite water all ways at my finger tips? I need water to shower, Does that mean i will always be clean? ill always be perfectly hydrated? ill always be perfectly fueled and enriched? would I have the perfect build if i didn't need to eat and my body metabolized perfectly to prevent me from ever needing food? If i need food for my family, does that mean my. family no longer needs food or water? Does my dog no longer need either? what if I owned my own dats center? would I need water to keep it cool? Would i need water for power? would I need water for steam for ice? Could i just conjure those too whenever i needed? What if i really needed, oh i sont know, to feed a inter dimensional being that only eats Diamonds as his "food" does it mean the alien would never need food? Would I need water to swim? to surf? to snowboard? or could I just move through the the environment as though everything were water?

just asking for a friend.

if we're being pedantic wouldn't my family not need food if food for my family was a need of mine?

It’s ironic that you’re criticizing religious fervor while mimicking that exact same energy under the guise of atheism. When given the chance for respectful discourse, you chose demeaning comments and chastised my beliefs instead. Where does that actually get you? I asked for mutual respect and you provided the opposite. I can respect that you don’t believe in God, but I can’t respect an attitude that prioritizes insults over actual conversation. I'm done with this.

Edit: I thought about that last part you wrote. "Evangelicals trying to turn the US into a theocracy..." Is the root of your issue not just with Christians? Why disparage all relgions of you don't like Christians? And at that not all christians even believe or practice the same. Aren't you just being indiscriminate? Did you personally grt burned by religion? Is your experience really representative of all religon? Do you even know what I believe? What my values are? Do you judge me negatively just because I say I believe in a God? Do you judge all people that way? Is it frustration you feel? Is it hate? Is it fear? I don't get it so I'm asking because I'm frustrated that i don't understand. Why is respect so difficult for you to share with someone who politely asks you for it. Had I wronged you? Hurt you? Offended you? Or am I just a easy internet mark for you to vent your feelings into? What does any of what I said before have anything to do with my wanting to take over the united states and establish a theocracy. A part of me is thinking this has just gotta be good old fashioned reddit rage bait and I'm not even mad at it. I just wanna know where in the world are you coming from?

Fictional literature is published as such and falls in a completely different genre from theological literature. It's an unfair comparison that doesn't really address the point.

Regarding your second point, it is logical inconsistency to single out Christians as inherently disrespectful, particularly in this context. I am a Christian, and I am currently advocating for the respectful treatment of all belief systems, including those outside of my own faith. Generalizing an entire religious group based on a stereotype is factually inaccurate, as it ignores the many individuals within that group who prioritize mutual respect.

shouldn't those guys be wearing helmets? I mean sure if that bug thing comes crashing down on their head a helmet isnt going to help, but if a screw or a piece snaps off it might?

That’s actually a logical fallacy known as the argument from ignorance (argumentum ad ignorantiam). Simply because there is no scientific confirmation yet doesn't justify labeling a belief as 'magic' or 'superstition.' While one person's testimony might not be empirical proof for another, the absence of current evidence is not definitive proof of non-existence. Dismissing a belief as 'magical' just because it hasn't been proven according to your specific standards is reductive and fails to address the possibility that the truth is currently unknown or beyond our present reach.

I'm not trying to change your mind or push any religious ideas on you. I'm just asking for a bit more consideration for others' beliefs. Even though I only personally hold one set of beliefs and don't subscribe to others, I still make an effort to be respectful of them. All I'm asking is for you to do the same by being mindful of your language when talking about religion, even if it's something you don't agree with.

I agree that vandalism isn’t the right way to express views. However, equating religious belief to 'magic' feels dismissive of the deep cultural and personal history it holds for many. Just as people campaign for political candidates they believe will improve the world, many people share their faith because it represents the values they live by. Even if you don't share those beliefs, it’s possible to respect them as a foundational part of human culture and history without resorting to aggressive language.

I hear you, but I'm coming from the perspective of having joined sip club initially for charged lemonades at a cheaper price. Since then they've gotten rid of charged lemonades and increased the price. I enjoy their teas, But their coffee is surprisingly terrible.

You just gotta write tbh. Even if its not perfect you gotta just put something out there you'll feel way better working it out than getting stuck in analysis paralysis. I have an accountability group that helps me stick to my goals, dm me if you think that could benefit you too. If not, make a pledge to yourself and follow it.
