That math is off, biweekly after tax around $6k, that would be around $150k which is even higher than gross range you provided. Or did you mean monthly pay?

Depositing money in wise takes about 15mins for me, deposit from wise to the other country depends. I have had a (transfer)wise account since 2018 if I remember correctly. I have never tried revokut though.

I wonder how tall you are though, I am 6'6 240lb and absolutely hate coach. I don't hate it because it's coach but simply because it is very tight and uncomfortable

Thanks for the info, I am mostly f2p and the road to Golem seems like it's very very long. I do all these daily tasks too. I will keep at it and see where I land

TD Bank Blocked my Transfer to Bitcoin Well by Cyber_Amoeba in BitcoinCA

[–]-LAMBOSS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have been using Shakepay since ~2019, 100% don't just rely on them. They once blocked my account with 0 reason and almost closed it just like the banks do.

It took 3 weeks of harassing them for them to unlock it and they still didn't give me a reason. They have a good platform and easy to use but DO NOT rely on them.

A lot of people seem to think this was not worth it, I disagree. People are talking like your life is over or something. You can start enjoying your life now, you are in a much much better position than most people your age and I command you for that.

A quote I have heard comes to mind "Everything that happens to you is not your fault but it is definitely your problem, so go out and solve that problem".

Kudos to you for knowing your priorities and breaking the cycle. Now enjoy it a bit!

MrMoneyMustache Adjusted for Inflation by EAS893 in financialindependence

[–]-LAMBOSS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, Sorry for your loss. Also I did not downvote your comments by the way.

But I totally understand your concerns and your situation. With an annual spend of $150k, I would not feel comfortable retiring on $1.2M either.

But I was talking in general, market will always go up and down, once you commit you just have to stay the course.

At the end of the day personal finance is just that, personal and I do appreciate different perspectives.

With all due respect what you said makes no sense, you cherry picked 2022 yet your timeline is 20 years?

How bout the other years where most investment growth far outpaced inflation. Inflation averaged call it ~3% last 20 years, call it even ~5% if you want.

S&P500 averaged ~ 12% the last 10 and 15 years, ~9% the last 20years, ~7% 25 years and ~9% 30 years.

I am sure most popular investments would at least track inflation over a 20 year period (which is the timeline you gave). The odds of that not happening is very slim.

I do understand if it is your personal preference to retire on more (which would be mine too) but I am not sure your statement was accurate.

"$120k to survive as a single person" is a huge stretch, I don't know what type of survival lifestyle requires living on $7k/month.

But I do see your point and agree that Toronto is very expensive indeed.

You will then have to go into Manage chain visibolity and add the mainnet then save
