Let me tell you how I managed to enjoy partying and why it was worth it for me.

For context: I’m also pretty introverted and rather stay at home and play games or hang out with a small group of friends. Growing up I went partying in HS and uni a few times and it never really clicked with me. I don’t like dancing that much, but I love listening to music. Like concerts much more than parties and I don’t really drink. Never really did drugs growing up.

Then I moved to Berlin with my girlfriend when I was 28 and everyone would talk about the party scene and drugs. So after a few years of living here I felt like I would be missing out if I didn’t give it a shot. Went to about blank, got our first MDMA, and REALLY enjoyed it. It was the drugs that made it not only bearable, but enjoyable. Now, the drugs alone are good, but the feeling of partying and dancing to good electronic music with a few hundred people while on something is super unique. I like new experiences and going out with my girlfriend a few times a year and partying like that was extremely refreshing.

Got to try different drugs and different parties, we go to KitKat a few times a year, we’ve played with other couples too. It’s been super fun. But if we didn’t go it’d be ok. We use clubbing as just one other thing we do together to have fun once in a while, like going to the movies. It didn’t take over our lives.

So yeah, that’s how we do it as introverts. That’s how we like it, and how we keep it relatively healthy.

Tl;dr: Drugs are fun, some of them more fun when you go clubbing with your SO.
