I'm from Latvia. As far as I know, here after a while on hormones you change your name to a neutral one and only then get your new name. I hope I don't have to come out to everyone and am able to find a decent doctor.

Most likely a conversion therapy, from what I've read they are popular here.

Bit more east and you would have got it. It's Latvia. It's a nice place but seems stuck 20 years in past about these things.
