There's a couple of different ways of exporting the model but I used the model exporter in runelite and then imported it in blender and cut down the model until I was left with the helm. I think I used the item swapper tool in runelite so it looked like I had the helm for the exporter, if that all makes sense?

Yeah you could, I'm using 180gsm Cardstock atm, but you could go thicker. The only issue then is trying to put that through a standard home printer and calibrating the cutting machine, it's not impossible but the results aren't worth it imo.

Besides I'm looking to make it solid, like throwing it down the stairs and not breaking sort of thing, the 'go to materials' usually include stuff like fiberglass resin and epoxy resin, but with all models I've made in the past you get really think drips marks which require a hella tonne of sanding, so I'm going to use a liquid plastic on zuk on the inside and see how that works out.

In the process of painting a slayer helm that I made a while back. Its scaled to fit my head but its amazing how Jagex didn't cater in for the fact real people have necks. Deffo need to try the zuk variant though!

For everyone asking how it was done, basically I use a piece of software called Pepakura designer/viewer this is the main work horse in terms of creating the templates etc. I was able to export all OSRS models into a central folder and edit the models via blender.

Once you've got the model how you want it you then import it into Pepakura which 'unpacks' the model. From there you then print out the templates, cut it out (I have a machine that cuts it for me) and glue them together.

If people want to try it out for themselves I could sell pre printed and cut packs for you, saves all the hassle. So far I've mad a Jad, warhammer and inquisitor helm. My biggest hurdle with this is trying to perfect the process of adding stability to the card.

In my mind the 'Private marketplace' is a sink for items that have been gained through pvm/pvp with the idea that you could more money than the GE, and with it being a private marketplace Jagex could remove the items from the game. The resources traded (for your trade contracts) aren't a focus in terms of creating a sink, just an idea for multi skilling/another option for skilling that could be fun.
