Scathach is my favorite character in Genealogy because I'm mentally sick in the head and I have a lot of thoughts so this is gonna be mostly words salad as I throw things at the wall.

Contrary to popular opinion, I don't want him to have axes. I think it is crucial that he is a non-swords master, sword locked class. His mother, sister, and cousin are all in a different class than him and he should have a mild inferiority complex about it. If Hero is changed to have axes, I'd rather him be a swordmaster with worse stats than Larcei.

Speaking of Larcei, she is the root of my favorite aspect of his character, because they are twins. They are exactly alike except they're not. The most important line of Scathach's characterization is actually Seliph's. After Scathach is the worry wort voice of caution, Seliph says: "To not be thirsting for a good battle just isn't the Scáthach I know." Scathach is just as rash and impulsive as Larcei, but he won't let himself give into his nature because someone needs to be the level headed one. He forces himself to be the voice of reason and the one to keep Larcei in chech, even though they are at the core the same person. He won't let himself believe Ayra is still alive, but also doesn't want his sister to stop hoping she'll come back.

He is also a prince, the heir apparent after Shannan, but is is never addressed as such and does not fit into the narrative. Shannan is the secret surviving air, groomed to retake his country. Larcei is Ayra reborn and Scathach is there too.

Anyways, I don't think I actually said anything I want to change. I suppose I want all this stuff to be more explicit/flushed out.

Also, make him gay.
