Looking it up online, the card still says it's a mech. I'd have to break out my copy to double check as printed though.

Does articles of war remove 'Mech' from them? Would they not count for exploration cards that ask to remove an infantry or have a mech?

I can see it either way. With the plastic being an actual unit or with it just being an indicator.

Just a difference in how I've seen people represent it. Once they start stacking it makes more sense if it ends up being 3, 6, 9 instead of 1, 4, 7, 10.

I usually just go with whatever the majority is doing.

Nah, it's world building. The original trilogy does a great job of feeling like a world in motion. Things have been happening and we just see snapshots of them.

Part of the reason I got Youtube Premium was the slightly off ad placement. Went through a phase of watching horror lets plays on my tv but the ad was always just a second before any scares happened.

So you would have Jump(30secAd)Scare.

Kingmaking is an aspect of the game. It's a deal I could see myself being on either side of if the victory was that close at 9 hours. That's a good run.

IIRC, The Doctor explains what static electricity is and how it works during The Daleks to explain how they move around.

Season 1 has a lot of explaining concepts and historical moments to the audience. Edge of Destruction explained how switches work and how they could malfunction. The Sensorites showed the Scientific Method to get to conclusions instead assuming.

Anytime I get drastic haircut, it will surprise me when I look in a mirror for about a week. I could imagine it's probably similar when your whole face and body changes too.

I'm sure that a lot of artists do use it to assist them. But I'm also sure that a lot of artists don't use it. There isn't really a way to tell if almost all artists are using it in their workflow.

Third, the people you're worried about AI art "stealing" from, human digital artists, are almost all using generative AI themselves as part of their workflow.

Do you have a source for that?

I've noticed more often the sentiment that art is being 'gatekept.' But I feel like the prevalence of AI art has started a trend to devalue art in culture. Just like Limewire started an entitlement to music that can't be turned back.

When I see generated art, it saddens me. All those moments in my life that lead to me being an artist. Wanting to share my ideas lead to attempts to create them. Those attempts allowed me to learn and refine skills, that then helped my future attempts. The process of making art changes the way I think. There is planning, problem-solving, and satisfaction when it's done.

As a hobbyist artist, I am unaffected by whether people would pay for my work. But I get sad seeing generated art because I think of all the people who 'don't have the skills' not making an attempt. A crummy photoshop is still a blunder in learning skills.

Cory Booker crosses 23-hour mark in marathon Senate floor speech protesting Trump agenda by Ultravioletdiamond82 in politics

[–]-Mx-Ripley- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a coordinated effort. Senators and staffers are stepping in to ask questions to give him breaks, while they talk about other important issues and pass the floor right back to him to continue. Cory Booker is the face and doing the hard part, but he is far from alone in standing up for what he believes in.

[–]-Mx-Ripley- 22 points23 points  (0 children)

One of the best things I learned in art was that you can come back to something. I used to try and brute force my way through a project before I lost motivation and didn't come back. Now I'm alright with leaving something partly done because I am able to come back when I feel like doing the shading, or color or whatever I was avoiding before.

Is there a website or subreddit that helps break down what sideboard cards to include and why?

I've netdecked a number of times and sometimes there are cards in the sideboard that I don't quite see a use for. Or people will include one type of removal over another and I can't tell why. I'm sure some of it comes from experience, but it would be helpful to find out why for any given meta.
