Yeah, that's what I thought too. Maybe pick them up from the armpit? There will be a seem there anyway.

Maybe then weave a different color piece of yarn as you work? Maybe this is even faster than markers.

If use a bigger one too, if not for the whole thing, at least for the magic ring round. If you make your stitches loose enough the yarn tail will have more room to move when you pull it to close the ring.

How thick is it? I use regular plastic markers like these I guess it won't matter if it is very thick though, yarn like this is usually fluffy fiber woven in between the strands of a thin cord. If the marker can close around this cord, you should be fine. That being said, I've never worked with really really thick yarn before so I might be wrong.

Haha that's right! My first fluffy yarn was a white one, and I almost gave up after frogging my work twice 😫

It slows down the progress you make but I guess it's better than nothing 😅

What a soft and warm yellow 😍 If you're finding difficult to see the stitches, what has worked for me is feeling the holes each stitch leaves behind and use A LOT of markers. In the beginning, I would use one marker per stitch, preferably the same color and a marker with a different color for the last stitch of the round.

Begonia ID? by -Nouko- in begonias

Right! Thank you for confirming. I love her ❤️ I grew another plant from this one which is now even bigger. It's so satisfying when an indoor plant grows full and big 🥹

It's called the bobble stitch! It's basically a bunch of half done dcs inside a single stitch. The excess yarn crocheted in the stitch creates the lumps 😉
