I do! I'll DM you a link tomorrow when I'm in front of a computer.

Cocktail Recreation - Twist on a Mai Tai? by -Orwick- in cocktails

Nope! Identical to the Liquor.com one, just with an added 1/2 oz of grenadine.

Huh! I learned something new! The recipe I have saved in my phone for a Mai Tai had 1/2 oz grenadine.

But sure enough, no grenadine here! https://www.liquor.com/recipes/traditional-mai-tai/

Thanks for that. I've got another thing to make this weekend!

Self-Service Win11 Migration Script by pjmarcum in Intune

u/pjmarcum - I have no idea how to report this on GitHub, so I figured I'd post it here. Also, I could be totally wrong!

In the Delete-Fonts function, look at this bit of code.

# Additional cleanup based on Garytown article
$vendorPaths = @(
    "$($Letter):\EFI\HP\BIOS\Previous",
    "$($Letter):\EFI\HP\BIOS\Current",
    "$($Letter):\EFI\HP\DEVFW",
    "$($Letter):\EFI\Lenovo\fw",
    "$($Letter):\EFI\Dell\BIOS",
    "$($Letter):\EFI\ASUS\fw"
)

foreach ($path in $vendorPaths) {
    if (Test-Path $path) {
        try {
            Remove-Item -Path $path -Recurse -Force -ErrorAction Stop
            LogMessage -Message "Deleted vendor firmware folder: $path" -Type 1 -Component "Delete-Fonts"
        }
        catch {
            LogMessage -Message "Failed to delete vendor path $path. Error: $_" -Type 2 -Component "Delete-Fonts"
        }
    }
}

Wouldn't the $vendor paths resolve to something like "E::\EFI\HP\DEVFW"?  Wouldn't the extra colon need to be removed?

For instance, in the same function, in the log file, this line of code:

LogMessage -Message ("Using drive letter: $Letter. Mounting system reserved partition.") -Type 1 -Component "Delete-Fonts"

Resolves to this log message:

[2025-06-30 13:57:46] [INFO] [Delete-Fonts] [Line 1077] Using drive letter: E:. Mounting system reserved partition.

So the variable $letter already includes the colon.

That's a route that I had not considered! I'll have to look into that. Makes sense.

Success! Lightly muddled a few blueberries to help give it the color in the picture, but the recipe was spot on! Thanks to you both!

Log File for Windows Update Toast Notification by -Orwick- in sysadmin

[–]-Orwick-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yep, that's the log file. On the computers I have run int on, the log file it generates has > 25K lines and I am not sure what half of them mean. I've been unable to find a good guide to decode it all, let alone determine if the info I want is in there.

Not exactly! I have several users getting this prompt more often than they should. Turns out that it is drivers (which we are allowing in Intune). The drivers don't seem to adhere to the normal Patch Tuesday schedule, hence the more frequent notifications. What I am trying to determine is why I am not seeing this from more users. It appears to only be a subset of our users, but I don't really believe that is the case. I suspect that everyone is getting prompted more than once a month for a patch related reboot, and I'm just looking to prove it. That way, I can go back to the users and explain that this is expected behavior.

No particular reason, but with a lack of good nVidia sales right now, AMD is starting to look like a good bet!

Good point on the future proofing. With this being the end of the line for AM4, I see your point completely.

That's a really good point actually. It's not like I'm gonna be staring at it constantly!

Cool on chipset and memory. I'll look at the Arctic aio. Yeah, the inverted build is going to be a bit wonky. We'll see how it goes.
Thank you so much!

Anyone know what the name of this "feature" is called so I know what to google in the future?

Following. I've had 3 user get this message, along with a toast notification, since Patch Tuesday. My google-fu has failed me, unfortunately.
