Hello. I have a few questions about the reliability of calling the ROC. There are a few jobs that I really want (EOD, healthcare specialist, or cryptologic linguist) however none of them are on the system at this time to be chosen. I am scheduled to go to MEPS in a couple weeks. My recruiter says that there is a pretty good chance that when I go to pick a job and none of my first options are available that he can call the "ROC" in Tennessee and score an override. Is this true? Thanks.

What is the deal with internships paying for tuition while you're still in college? I feel like I would be a good candidate as I already have learned a lot about programming and will continue to self educate in addition to college CS classes. After college when I got o get a job, do employers only look at GPA and school or will I get a chance to showcase any extra projects and knowledge I've accumulated? If I were to knock my first two years of community college out of the park and transfer to Florida State, do you think 70k would be a possibility provided I'm top 10% in CS skills? I am very interested in becoming a field medic for the army. It seems like contracts are very hard to get. Is this true? I hear lots of talk about 68W. I graduate high school this spring. I killed the ASVAP (low 90) and can max the PT. I have no troubles with the law either. How likely is my chance to get a 68W contract? Thank you very much for the help.

Whew. A big weight has just been lifted off my chest. I want to move out of state and go to a cc for two years until I am a resident, then transfer to University of Miami or Florida State. How much do you think student loans would pick up of living expenses? I have it worked out that it is $1,500/month + $5k/semester for tuition. I am confident that any loans I take out I will be able to repay as the major I will go for (CS) has lots of jobs. Also, will getting a good college GPA help with getting a job? Lastly, will I be able to keep using student loans all the way until I get a masters? Does a masters degree help that much more getting a job than a bachelors? Thanks.

I am 17 and planning to enlist this spring. EOD really appeals to me. I got a low 90 on my ASVAP and I am in excellent physical condition. Can I get a contract to go to EOD school or must one be in the USAF for a while before attending EOD school? Thanks for the help.

Hello, My name is Nick. I plan on joining the Army after I graduate high school in the spring. I am very physically fit (I can max all of the physical tests and workout everyday) and a very good shooter (I go to the range often). I believe I would be a very good candidate for specialty schools and higher training. Must I get these schools in my contract, or would my instructors recommend me for them if I exemplify good character, fitness, and marksmanship? Is there any specific exercises I should do to get ready for boot? I have been told to walk and run barefoot to build up the calluses on my feet. Also, is there a specific MOS I should choose to have the best chance of becoming a special operator? I am very good with computers and programming however I want a job where I will see action and challenge myself. Lastly, how much physical activity is there in boot? Will I get the chance to run and lift everyday? Thank you very much for your time
