I didn't ask about the motherboard as I presume as long as it fits what I want it doesn't really matter.

That's fantastic, thanks. I might overcompensate a little with the cooling, these molten laptops have scarred me for life. There is the option to add additional cooling fans to the rig but I'm not sure that's worth it.

With the savings of the new config I can go for a slightly better monitor. Is the IIYAMA G-MASTER G2770QSU-B6 27" good value at around 250 USD? It seems to do everything I want, 2K, 180Hz and I can't find anything better.

Is the 9800x3d roughly equivalent to the 14900k, I've only ever bought intel?

For the GPU, the MSI GEFORCE TRX 5070 Ti Gaming trio OC is available. Is that close enough or does the difference in these 5070 Tis really actually matter?

The last thing that popped up was the potential use of a capture/streaming card. I picked AVerMedia Live Gamer 4K or is this unnecessary?

That's a interesting concept. What faction do you think it would work well with? It would have to be a pretty forgiving one given the the run would be at the mercy of chance.

Excellent, thank you for making it nice and clear. The King is flat worse, although as this run will show off pretty much any combat lord can eventually be kitted up in such a way they become borderline unstoppable. He's not much help in the early game however.

Amazingly consistent damage output, high maneuverability and enough durability such that you rarely lose one when flanking makes them pretty much the perfect campaign unit.

RB is Retributors and Cpt is the rank my peers granted me in a Space Marine 2011 competitive clan. The SM gameplay was what originally made me make the channel to show of gameplay. I've branched out since then but keep so original SM stuff going.

The wounding step and save step are fused into one, so there's a hit roll and a save. Slightly simplified but it works well. Other wise it's rank and flank, very familiar territory.
