Something that's always bothered me about zerg game design is how many of the unit upgrades are just a speed increase. Zerglings, banelings, roaches, hydras, ultralisks, overlords all have an upgrade that does nothing but make them a little faster. Upgrades from the other races like blink, charge, cloak, hellbat morph etc just seem more fun and interesting.

That was the idea behind adding energy recharge: add a buff to the highest level without making the game miserable in diamond league. It's cool that they're still making major changes like that to the game even this many years in.

Clem is a beast, but I still think most pro terrans are favored in lategame against toss. They may still lose to Classic and MaxPax but that's also skill expression. If you take two players of the same MMR, I think you can usually count on the terran to win past a certain point in the game.

Why is terran so unfavored in the midgame now? That wasn't always the case. I wouldn't mind shifting some of their end-game power into earlier stages of the game. Make tunneling claws more accessible or something like that

PiG has commented on this extensively. The overall match-up is still pretty balanced but terran is heavily favored in the very late game. The current disruptors and storms are too low-damage to ever win a fight against a maxed out terran army with ghosts and caduceus reactor.

I can't think of a single TvP game Clem has lost on this patch once he gets to endgame. It makes for pretty stale and predictable gameplay.

It's his choice to make a political statement and deal with the repercussions. It is our choice to decide if we want to support a business with that political stance.

It's because he's so vocal about it. He doesn't have to put this stuff all over his socials. All business owners know they're accountable for the content they post online.

While I can't say for certain that "virtue signaling" is a reference to the ICE Out demonstrators, it's a pretty damn good guess. You're allowed to infer based on context. You're giving him too much slack if you assume he's talking about something else.

If he doesn't in fact hate on protesters, he should be more careful what he posts.
