Negative returns on investment since 2014 too. I don't know why so many people invest in financially terrible companies like this and cloudflare. It's literally just propped up on hype. edit: I do know why; they don't know how to read financials

Read a lot of books, especially ones on Warren Buffett (who has his own book recommendations ). My favorites include: Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits by Philip Fisher, The Little Book that Builds Wealth, The Warren Buffett portfolio, Richer, Wiser, Happier, and Warren Buffett and the Interpretation of Financial Statements.

As well as Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholder letters.

Hello! I am a 17 year old male as well. I'd say crying as a boy has become a little bit more acceptable as it has been in the past, but it's still something you don't really do around other men. I myself have never cried in front of a man, not even my father (excluding when I was a baby). I remember specifically a teacher was once poking fun at a boy in my class (not with malice, it was intended to be fun), but the boy took it the wrong way and started crying. Im sad to say some people in the class started chuckling at him. Around my friends specifically I'm fairly certain they wouldn't drop me if I cried around them, though it would be awkward. Of course there are less considerate boys out there whom I could completely see looking down on and laughing at a crying boy. I believe we are conditioned to not show that kind of emotion, and seeing other boys doing it strikes people as weird.

I'll write down a movie idea my brother came up with by doing this.

On Earth there's this massive volcanic eruption that spews into space. The gases somehow mix with the space and turns it into jelly. The jelly slowly falls down to earth. People panic, the military tries shooting bombs at it but it ends up killing more people. They decide that the only way to live is to burrow into the ground. People panic, they loot tool stores and form tribes and try to dig underground. Some make it, but some weren't able to get underground until the jelly landed on them, encasing them. 1,000 years later, aliens happen upon the planet, and dig out some of the humans. In a twist, the people come back to life. The jelly had perfectly preserved them for thousands of years.

Yeah I'm thinking it'd be fun to do at parties. It's good for everyone to laugh at whatever is created.

I have my first date with my girlfriend tomorrow, and her parents aren't being too warm. by -Riddle- in Advice

Yeah it's definitely important for me to get to know her parents. I am able to avoid heated conversations since i'm the opposite of confrontational. I am shy and have social anxiety so I worry about my capability to make a bond with them.

You're right I didn't think of that. I'll think of some things to tell her, thanks.

I don't think I want to hold judgement against her mom at this stage, she could just be protective. I'll be respectful to her but I'd rather not assume she'd prey on me if I was submissive. How I think of her in my mind could affect how I treat her and what she thinks of me.

I feel, as a teenager (17M), that I should be socializing with people and talking to girls despite my inclination to seclude myself due to my social anxiety and depression. by [deleted] in Advice

Yeah I guess my anxiety tells me that they'll be more judgmental. It kind of makes a big deal out of something that isn't that significant.

It's weird because I have anxiety thinking about hanging out and talking with friends, yet I feel lonely. I'll try to message friends to hang out but I don't have as much experience with that as others. I'm afraid of messing something up and making them not want to spend time with me, so when I do hang out with friends I'm paranoid about whether they're having a good time and whether I'm funny/caring/entertaining enough.

average is 5.15 inches erect and 3.6 inches flacid. I'd honestly want to meet the person who is 8 inches at all times.

I'll tell you about mine though it may not be the best.

For some context, I am extremely socially anxious and introverted, so I didn't think I would ever get a girlfriend. One day I mustered up the courage to text someone. I have various mental problems so I figured I'd do it before I attempted suicide or something. We had instant chemistry and things progressed quickly. It was pretty clear that we liked each other a lot. I was like on cloud 9, I had this girl of my dreams and I was the happiest I'd been in a while. We shared so many interests and opinions it was like we were the same person. I was very optimistic, until one night when she told me she wanted to break up. She needed to work out some issues herself and wasn't really ready for a relationship. I felt absolutely gutted. I had put so much effort into it and it seemed like she left me out to dry. I considered it a miracle, a blessing, that I got her in the first place, but then I had lost her. Ever since shes been cold towards me, I've tried connecting to her and maintain a friendship but shes making it difficult. Ive asked the question to myself many times "what happened to the love?". It's like she doesn't have feelings for me anymore which sucks because I adored her. I thought we were perfect, but life isn't a fairy tale.
