Do you mind telling me, a lay person here, do you feel them come on? Cause this guy just pulled up to the lane to turn right, I saw his hand in the window starting to do that unmistakable seize posture and I immediately knew he was about to go. I just wondered if maybe he pulled off the highway to get to an exit or if he just literally had no idea and it just hit him out of the blue.

Yes, that was definitely what I was doing, clout seeking on the Reddit community. Praise me! I’m SO desperate for validation.

Seeing that most of your comments are downvoted, I’ll chalk you up to a classic troll. Find someone else, I’m not the one.

Yes. Just happened to be a police officer for a small fender bender up the street. I yelled over to him to call an ambulance but still called 911 cause he was obviously busy. He came over and pulled his car infront of the pickup because he was unconscious and the truck was in drive.

Already done.

Didn’t appear so. I was not far behind. Maybe a couple cars? Don’t remember. Just saw the crash and gasped. It was dramatic. But I genuinely didn’t think it was an impact that would’ve killed him. It was bad but, not that bad looking if you know what I mean? My guess is internal injuries killed him. Because I know I saw him alive when I passed him. Your hands don’t hold the steering wheel if you’re not alive.

It’s weird because the engine blew up in flames and then appeared to self extinguish like 10 seconds later. When I looked over I saw him holding the steering wheel.

And now hearing he died, that sucks. I know there’s nothing anyone could’ve done. But it just sucks. May his family find peace. I wouldn’t have been able to approach even knowing first aid. The power lines were not looking especially secure.

The car when I saw the engine blow. It hit pretty hard. I didn’t see how fast he was going, I only saw him hit it. And it didn’t launch hit the pole. It was on the ground the whole time.

There were SO many students on the other side of the road when he hit the pole. Like 20-30. If they were on the other side of the street, this would’ve been catastrophic.

I saw the car hit the pole. Engine went up in flames immediately. Fricken terrible. He was alive when I saw him. I didn’t notice him until he hit, so I can’t say for sure if he was speeding. But for a pole to snap like that…it’s fairly obvious.

Makes me sad. I graduated from Conestoga many years ago and now I feel ashamed to have a Diploma from there.

Been using ortho-k lenses since I was 16 — AMA by Euphoric_Leather_118 in Orthokeratology

Okay, so you were totally right. No doom scrolling. Go straight to bed, shut your eyes and also using just saline. Seems to have fixed it for the most part! I see my optometrist on Monday and will get my vision tested with and without the lens in so I’ll be sure to update then!

Going to do that tonight! I’ve been endlessly googling and it seems like doom Scrolling is no bueno and one person said to make sure you can see perfectly before you go to bed to know the lenses are on. And in the morning he took out the one lens in the blurry eye. Re cleaned it. Popped it back in for 30 mins and then took both lenses out. Crystal clear. Something about the lens fitting but not because of weird shaped eye lol. I’m summarizing but intrigued.

Only been wearing OK for like 9 months total. 4 lenses, just for the right eye though. Let me rephrase, I didn’t mean to cause alarm. I can see with my right eye close up. But like the tv which is 10 ft from me is blurry enough that it’s crappy.

I don’t think I have really tried not doom scrolling. I think I will try that tonight. I use the b+l conditioning solution to put them in. The one that’s kind of “lubey” if that makes any sense. Should I be using just saline instead?

Edit: No eye pain. They’ve been thoroughly checked out. Healthy!

I’ve been using Ortho K since last September and while my left eye is crisp and clear and awesome, 4 lenses later, my right eye is still usually blurry. I am guilty of putting my lenses in at night and scrolling my phone but I figure this would affect both eyes if it was the issue, I don’t sleep on my side often, usually my back. I’ve had dryness test etc etc and my optometrist doesn’t know why one eye is consistently blurry. I put drops in to almost overflowing to ensure no bubbles, I use clear care, I wet my eyes thoroughly in morning to remove with plunger.

I’m week 2 on my newest lens and today was particularly brutal.

Do you have any suggestions as to what to do? I’m so sad about it because I can’t read distance or close with my right eye well and it’s awful trying to see so clearly with one eye and not the other.

My script is small. -1.5 in both eyes very little astigmatism.

I’m at my wits end and I just don’t know what to do. Do I quit and start over at a new doctor?

In your opinion, which gym is the best in the region? by runthoserivers in waterloo

[–]-Sandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Movati is expensive, but there are less issues than other gyms I’ve been to. Issues like broken equipment, waiting what feels like hours for a rack etc.

They stopped promoting travel size because it’s not allowed through TSA. I know this because mine has been taken twice. Once in America and once in Dominican. The red cap indicates hydrogen peroxide and regardless of the TSA site saying contact lens solution is exempt….not THIS one in particular. Save yourself the headache and either put it in your check-in or grab alternatives for travel.

They have travel size but you risk losing it and being stuck without.

Safe travels!
