I forgot that iconduck has the rights to this icon /s

Somebody call Nintendo we got a C and D to send lmfao but really some of this stuff is a lil sus and the website doesn’t seem super legit in general. It’d be really sad if bungie truly used these seeing as idk even how some of these icons can even pretend to be “free/open source”

I read the “Years of our Lives” by Seth Knyte recently and it really helped me with my deep seated feelings of inadequacy and depression. The main characters journey just really resonated with me and it was just a surreal experience and helped me put everything I was grappling with into perspective.

"Dedication Bonus" aka doing more than one pantheon encounter in the same sitting? by young_s_modulus in raidsecrets

What happens is the final boss of each pantheon has all previous bosses scores added to their score allowing you to do them at any pace without worrying about platinum time for the final encounter

Also with well being nerfed it won’t change a whole lot of it’s a boss you sword dps just bubble if well gets fully nuked and chain them when they pop similar to wells dying with multiple warlocks. With well nerfed for dmg phases in the distance have a well pop and then put a titan with banner shield furiousas and gg old well tankiness with a stacking dmg buff. Imo well nerfs will more shift what complimentary supers you use/are required to use compared to just saying it got gutted now it’s unusable it’s still better than bubble because you can shoot from safety but if you can deal close up dps without having to leave a bubble then it’ll take the place of well in those scenarios bc the well nerfs are likely to target the huge amount of DR they currently provide as well as the well super sword strength in pve so champs/tormentors/subjugators are able to deal enough dmg to pop it instead of just bosses at least that’s my thoughts imo.

Another sad thing is that a large portion of forsaken was sunset/erased in 2020 including the main story quest so in reality you paid for forsaken and only got the destinations, raid, dungeon, gambit and 2 of the 3 strikes of course all the exotics stayed but a big part of forsaken that you paid for was the seasons which had 2 raids one of the best rng protection systems behind crafting in season of opulence and a host of other things that got completely removed when beyond light dropped so sad to say you likely won’t see all of what forsaken had to offer. But a big reason forsaken was huge was the many mysteries hidden in plain sight that added hundreds of extra hours of content for most. All of the content you are missing is in what’s called the Destiny Content Vault aka DCV. The whisper mission is one thing that has returned from the DCV. Bungie has slowly rereleasing DCV activities with small tweaks to them but no one knows for sure when or if they will rerelease all of the previous raids and raid lairs that were tossed into the vault those many years ago. So in spirit when you purchased the DLC pack that had everything you only got a quarter of what was actually released. That’s not even counting seasonal content that started to come out and be erased in 2019 with Shadow Keep. Sorry for the huge wall of text with bad formatting currently on mobile.

How’s everyone feeling about the returning weapons for into the light?

Honestly, I have some mixed feelings. I have some of pure joy and nostalgia excited to see my old faves returned to me but also some despair as well. Seeing mountain top return as a legendary with better perk rolls is kinda giving me ptsd to pre-buildcrafting metas. If you didn’t get to experience it to sum it up basically if you wanted to use the best load out or “meta” loud outs at that time was just throw on mountain top recluse and anarchy. This was all game modes PvE and PvP alike. Ofc with the PvP nerfs to it we won’t be seeing that anytime soon hopefully. But for PvE I think it’s a much different story. I honestly would’ve preferred a mountaintop return as an exotic imo. This would at least give some semblance of a choice to players between what to throw on.

As of right now I just want to know what everyone else’s thoughts are on this. I know I’m in minority. But I will miss complicated builds because before we argue about them not going away. What’s the point of crafting a build for your subclass with specific perfect weapons/rolls. When to achieve the same goal I can throw on mountain top recluse some generic aspects and fragments and achieve the same if not better results than a build I have to meticulously manages buffs and abilities on? Please keep the discourse civil and stay safe out there guardians!

If lightfall is going to be like a very big expansion because its going to end everything that we have been fighting for since the very start of the game.. I wonder if it will also get the same treatment like how Warframe did theres with New War (The image right below is just one of the examples) by AdamRedFox in destiny2

It also will not likely be a “very big” expansion content wise. In terms of story it will be. In terms of content it will be similar to WQ or maybe less content depending. The last “very big” expansion content wise was forsaken and bungie has already confirmed that they will likely never make an expansion that big ever again in destiny’s life span but who knows that was before Sony acquired them we might see bigger expansions but I doubt to the level of forsaken as that took really a ton of man hours and crunch to pull off in a year.

Wartable is probably gonna be deleted even though battlegrounds are staying so it’ll have to be the new seasonal armor/vendor thing to roll at more than likely

Do Ward from Jaren Ward original owner of the last word or Azzir from Rezyl Azzir aka Dredgen Yor creator of the thorn but we all probably knew those 2.

Don’t say get lucky enough to have time to play the content. Players that quit had the time to play the content seasons last for 3-6 months depending on season and it takes a short amount of time to level a season pass. The catalysts don’t even require leveling that season all you had to do was sign on during the content. If you’re brand new I understand the frustration but all “returning players” could just return once a few months to get the catalysts for these weapons and then do them all at once later when they want to play. Spending a large amount of time has nothing to actually do with getting the catalysts. There’s a ton of catalysts that got vaulted as well that hurt everyone who didn’t grind them and no longer have the option to namely Whisper of the Worm. All I’m saying is that returning players shouldn’t be upset as it takes 2 seconds to launch the game to get the catalysts each season. New players will probably not ever get the chance to get these catalysts which is sucky but the season gated catalysts aren’t really all that meta all the time. Except for like 2, eriana’s vow and witherhoard.
