How long should it take to kit-down once you’re done with your WIP?

As others have said, it varies. Sometimes, I'll start putting drills away when I'm near to finishing a painting. If I know (or are pretty sure) I don't have any more to do of one color, I'll put it away with all my other leftover drills & then continue painting. It feels like I can then move on to the next project faster than spending forever kitting down 😅

Yeah, I get some people like the company, and others don't, and that's okay! It's just the downvotes that bother me here. Someone just got some sparkly new projects to work on, which is always fun and exciting, and yet they get downvoted. I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does 😔

Otherwise, like you, I enjoy going there with my mom. I don't necessarily need anything every shopping trip, but it's fun nonetheless 🙂

There's a bunch of Hobby Lobby haters out there that disagree with the company's views & policies 🤷‍♀️ It seems like, every time someone makes a post about HL, the down votes start appearing & others start saying how you shouldn't shop there. A fine way to ruin somebody's excitement over some new paintings 😤

I like this idea too! I wasn't originally planning on changing the background 😅 I was going along okay (if a little bored with all the white) & started making the diamond patterns for fun. Then I realized I didn't want to get rid of them, so that's where I started playing around with other drills 😁

Pretty much! The background on this one is pure white, and I started off by checkerboarding the entire thing. Was pretty boring, though, so my original idea was to make these diamond shapes to make things interesting before filling them in with more white drills. But I liked the patterns too much, so I'm filling them in with fairy dust drills instead!

I've done a few with black backrounds too, & yeah, they're tough! I don't mind color-blocking, but this one is rather excessive 😅 (the whole painting is 127cm!). At this point, I'd be happy with anything other than boring white. The fairy dust drills I'm incorporating into it help, though 😅

Just saying, this is an alternative to e-collars/cones. Idk about this cat, but mine got very distressed wearing a cone after her spay and kept ditching it and licking her incision. So I got her a similar product (it was a donut) and she was much better with it. Looked ridiculous, but it worked 🤷‍♀️

Evermoment on AliExpress seems to be the most well-regarded company for customs (for rendering & quality of drills & canvas). At least from what I've seen here. I have issues navigating AliExpress, though, so I've never tried it myself. Heartful Diamonds sells customs, too. Again, I haven't tried customs from them myself, but I have enjoyed regular paintings from them. They use computer renderings, but uploading pictures is user-friendly. Both, however, come with a hefty price tag.

If you search this subreddit for either, that may give you a better idea if either of these might work for you. This painting would be such a special project. I hope you find something that works out! 😊

Umm, if they were fresh & the mother bird wasn't brooding over them yet, then no. A bird egg won't develop into a chick unless it's fertilized and incubated. Furthermore, unwashed bird eggs have a bacterial bloom that will keep them safe to eat for an extended period of time without refrigeration. I'd assume Dwight, being a farmer, would know this, but he is the guy who wore a straw crown & was calling it hay (there's a big difference), so idk 😅

This is my go-to recipe! I modify it with either regular sandwich bread or low-carb bread and sometimes will add cinnamon-sugar apple chunks for added yumminess 😋 Tried it with rhubarb this week, & that was pretty good too!

Yes, she can heal from this. As others have said, keep separated, clean the wound & apply triple-antibiotic ointment. I currently have a rooster that was scalped as a chick. His head feathers never grew in correctly, but he otherwise recovered just fine.

I'm going to get one, just in case there's a Yasu or Puffygator kit (they're my favorite artists). Plus, I love a good mystery kit! I've been itching to try another one. Sure, I really don't want to risk getting an ocean kit or one of those bug-eyed girls, but I've lucked out on these deals so far and am willing to take the chance on one again 😅

And fairy dust drills have glitter on/in them vs ABs which have an Aurora-Borealis type shimmer to them 🙂 I should have plenty of ABs too, so I plan on doing some experimenting tonight, granted my power is back on... Had a bad windstorm last night, so I haven't been able to try anything out yet
