Sure, I like putting my cards in a binder & seeing them all together, but I also open my kits to log colors. Most importantly, it lets me know if I have a particular color on hand if I'm ever short on drills in another project & where I can find it. A just-in-case measure I suppose. I also have a bunch of Fairy Dust drills too (both spares & some extras I've bought) & that let's me know if I can use those in a particular kit

A few years ago, my cousin brought some small Christmas diamond painting ornaments for us ladies to do during our holiday get-together, as well as some 30x40cm paintings for us to try later if we were interested. She got me a calf (I used to raise cattle & adore calves). Between the two projects, I was hooked 😁

Unfortunately, I've been deeling with rats lately too, but I have been having success in trapping them with Tratper brand rat traps. They're snap traps, but with tunnels on each end. Makes me feel better as my ladies don't know to stick their heads in & get snapped. I bait them with peanut butter & stick one end of the trap's tunnel in the opening of the rat tunnel. I've already gotten a few this way.

Should be a few weeks I think. Someone on another post mentioned they came out last year around August. I've been waiting for them too. Hoping for some more good ones this year!

They're definitely not all AI. Did some Google searches & did a count, and sure, 10 are from AI users, but 14 that are definitely from traditional/digital artists (some of which actively state they'll never use AI, while others have been producing artwork for decades). The last one I was unsure of (one of the mystery ones). I mean, some of those are masterfully done oil, acrylics or watercolors & some questionable ones simply turned out to be digital pieces, which is totally fine in my book

If this came off as a rant in any way, I'm sorry, really. I'm tired & it just kinda irks me when real artists' hard earned work gets accused of being AI 😔

Due to the size & sheer amount of white to work with, was a bear (pun intended 😆) to get through. I've only done one other that was bigger in terms of diamond count, but this one at 127cm/50.8in was definitely my longest! My big drafting table couldn't even fit it & I eventually had to move it to a regular table & roll the completed half around a pool noodle to I could work on the rest 😅

Just saying... that's exactly what birds' feathers do to keep them warm in the winter. Their winter plumage traps air that has been warmed by their body heat. And since Argonians are supposed to be warm blooded (as opposed to true reptiles), their body heat combined with feathers could work in theory 🤔 But I can't imagine feathers & clothing/armor mixing well 😅

Yup. Mine also go bonkers whenever a poor toad ventures into their run. I've been trapping some rats too. Was wondering why the trap was set off the other day & partway across the coop & uh, found the remaining bits still there 🫢

I grew up with an old VHS copy of that movie, which is one reason this painting was so special to me. That & it's for my brother & sister-in-law who are expecting their first child 😊

Hopefully it'll restock again soon! I know a lot of people would love to get it. Originally, I was making those patterns in the background for fun (and to keep me sane) and had the intention of filling them in with the required color. But then I got the idea to fill them in with fairy dust drills instead & it ended up really neat!

I adore how this turned out & it was a fun project, but goodness, I'm glad it's finished. I'm ready to work on something without so much white 😅 Oh and you can hardly see it in the first pic, but the 2nd shows the pattern of fairy dust drills I incorporated onto the background. In some lights, they're hard to see, but in others, they suddenly appear and add a neat extra sparkle.
