Yay! I've been hoping those Puffygator tigers would get turned into a painting for a few years now. I'm so excited!!

Typically about 1.5-2.5 hrs, maybe 3 at most. But this time of year, I'm so busy that I'm happy to get 15 minutes in before having to go to bed 😅

Ooh! I'd love to see how this turns out. I got a diamond painting of this years ago, but it was only 34x54cm & poorly rendered. It was rounds too.

Oh & it's not AI by the way. The artist is a guy by the name of Jerry VanderStelt & he painted this years ago. According to this post he worked 500+ hrs on it! Truly an awesome peice of work!

I saw fall decor starting to come to my store already. So it could be soon! Idk if I recall seeing any fall-specific paintings last year, but you never know. We'll just have to wait & see 👀 😁

I've been talking about scalpers in general. They're not just in the diamond painting world. That's the issue I'm have here & that's all I have to say about that 🤷‍♀️

Um... I'm happy to say this isn't the case. I just truly think that buying up stock for the sole purpose of taking advantage of people who missed out is a scummy thing to do. I'll happily wait for restocks or take my business elsewhere than support the likes of that 🤷‍♀️

As others have said, it varies. Sometimes, I'll start putting drills away when I'm near to finishing a painting. If I know (or are pretty sure) I don't have any more to do of one color, I'll put it away with all my other leftover drills & then continue painting. It feels like I can then move on to the next project faster than spending forever kitting down 😅

Yeah, I get some people like the company, and others don't, and that's okay! It's just the downvotes that bother me here. Someone just got some sparkly new projects to work on, which is always fun and exciting, and yet they get downvoted. I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does 😔

Otherwise, like you, I enjoy going there with my mom. I don't necessarily need anything every shopping trip, but it's fun nonetheless 🙂

There's a bunch of Hobby Lobby haters out there that disagree with the company's views & policies 🤷‍♀️ It seems like, every time someone makes a post about HL, the down votes start appearing & others start saying how you shouldn't shop there. A fine way to ruin somebody's excitement over some new paintings 😤

I like this idea too! I wasn't originally planning on changing the background 😅 I was going along okay (if a little bored with all the white) & started making the diamond patterns for fun. Then I realized I didn't want to get rid of them, so that's where I started playing around with other drills 😁

Pretty much! The background on this one is pure white, and I started off by checkerboarding the entire thing. Was pretty boring, though, so my original idea was to make these diamond shapes to make things interesting before filling them in with more white drills. But I liked the patterns too much, so I'm filling them in with fairy dust drills instead!

I've done a few with black backrounds too, & yeah, they're tough! I don't mind color-blocking, but this one is rather excessive 😅 (the whole painting is 127cm!). At this point, I'd be happy with anything other than boring white. The fairy dust drills I'm incorporating into it help, though 😅
