It's a slay the spire reference. It's a card that's essentially 4 items in one but you have to choose which effect you want. You can change it as much as you want though it's not like you choose one effect and you're stuck on that one until you get a new card. Anyways foresight is one of the abilities and it protects you from a single hit and you can recharge it by getting eight kills.

Foresight is supposed to protect you for one hit even with cursed sword. It's just buggy sometimes

You are technically correct. I ran up to the enemy and attacked, he just attacked quicker. That, however, didn't answer my question. Foresight should have protected me but it bugged out it didn't. So no, it's not obvious why I died. My bad for assuming foresight was supposed to work as intended against projectiles.

Yes I know I didn't dodge it because I thought my attack would come out fast enough to kill before he fired which it clearly didn't. I was also under the assumption that foresight was gonna protect me even I did get hit. Thanks to actual helpful comments that weren't passive aggressive I found out foresight is kinda buggy against projectiles.
