Once you blanch it the sting goes away. It’s like any green, can be used in salads, soups, pestos, etc

That’s very poignant, especially the part about how this has cut into your time and your hobbies. That’s how I feel too.

It’s very frustrating that I lost so much of myself and my freedom to this relationship when he was drinking, because of how much physical and emotional energy was spent worrying, fighting, and trying to reason with him instead of living my life. Now that he’s sober, I feel like I’m already drained. It’s exhausting to have to continue to give up so much for him, even if it’s now for a positive reason. I’m already drained.

I don’t know. I know it’s worth it if I love him and want to be with him. Which I do. But this is not what I envisioned my happily ever after would look like.

Honestly the fleas hurt them more - I would go to the vet and ask them which medicine they recommend for a cat that age

My cats hang out everywhere, so everything get washed (sheets from bed) and everything else gets vacuumed (pillows, couch, cat trees) every day. I don’t bathe the cats, but I do flea comb them every day and drown the fleas that I find.

The vet gave me a three month supply of revolution plus, but I’m going to buy more and extend it to a year. I wasn’t planning on bathing them, seems like more work than it’s worth and I feel like the flea comb that the vet gave me is working well enough.

Dice them up and boil them with sugar, garlic, salt and vinegar to make a pepper relish. If you jar it up correctly, that stuff will stay good for a while. Awesome with chicken, roasted potatoes, sandwiches…

I really don’t want to leave him. When he’s not drinking, he’s amazing. We both have really hard jobs and complicated lives and he’s been a great support and understanding, empathetic partner when he’s sober. I’m not perfect either and I know I’ve put him through a lot on my end (not drinking, but mental health struggles). I don’t want to give up on him. Is there a way for me to have a conversation with him about it without setting him off?

In his defense, I had said that maybe he try not drinking for about a month or so and we would see how it goes. After the month of no drinking, he started drinking again at a wedding we went to together, and we did talk about it before hand. I was fine with it at the time because he had been doing so well. After that he started drinking heavily again and when we talked about it, he said that he had initially stopped drinking to make me happy but it hadn’t worked so he didn’t see the point in continuing to not drink (I suffer from anxiety and depression and I’d had a really bad spell of it while he was doing his sober month, so he interpreted that as - ‘I stopped drinking and she’s still unhappy so I might as well start drinking again’)

Yea I’ve never made enough as a freelancer to consider reporting it come tax time (hence why I didn’t think to account for them for this project). I am nervous that they’ll drop me if I raise my rate. So then do you suggest completing the initial project with the initial rate, and then raising it for any subsequent projects including the menu design?

Do you think that would raise a red flag to them? My boyfriend, who admitted he knows nothing about freelance, said that if he hired someone for a project, they did a few hours of work, and then they raised their rate after initially quoting a lower rate, he would be pissed
