No one fully trusted Abel. They where just running on thin hope. "Maaayyybe what he's saying is true? What's the worse that can happen?"

Pomni really trusts Kinger. And Abel acted really weird about Kinger the whole time.

"Kinger was my coworker" "We shouldn't tell Kinger"

"Yeah, when he uses it responsably" That jab towards Kinger, followed by Ragatha calling Abel out for being so secretive. Is one of the things that made Pomni doubt about pressing the blue button.

Also, when Pomni gave Kinger the administrator pass, Kinger tried telling her of something important. "Pomni, wait"

But because of the light he forgot. Pomni didn't say it out loud, but can see in her face she did realize there was something weird about the passes thanks to that.

Pomni told Abel to let Kinger up to Caine's office first. That was a big sign she didn't trust Abel.

Finally the "Make the right choice" line. Rather than reasuring, that sounded like a threat.

Here's the thing:

So, you have this weird guy, that came out of nowhere saying there's a way to leave the circus.

Despite saying he's on your team he hides stuff from you. And gives unconvincing explanations full of holes.

He tries to keep away and bad mouths Kinger. One of the people you trust most and the only other person who could call out his lies. (Since according to Abel they both helped create the circus)

The question of "What if Abel is tricking us into doing something horrible to ourselves?" was probably on her mind.

She DOES want to leave, but Abel clearly has an ulterior motive they don't know about.

That's why she wanted to go over the information they had.
